Went out for early birthday celebrations and wow it felt like stepping back into 2019! My friends all started singing happy birthday loudly at the pub the whole place joined in I had my head in my hands but I secretly loved it lol! When people got drunk, masks went out of the window (well not literally lol).

Most places were strict on track and trace and made you show your screen to check.

It was my first proper night out since last year, I was ready for bed by midnight!

Looks like they’re having difficulty collecting the stats without Matt Hancock… perhaps he is keeping all the passwords to himself

Read the feed of the last few days of which she's done dozens of tweets. Cannot believe anyone wants us shut down a few more months ruining another summer.

What’s going on in the north east 👀

It’s everywhere here 😬🙈 I know more people + than ever, fortunately no one actually very ill.

Public health are saying it’s under 30s, with issues none compliance with isolating spreading it further.

I know locally to me pop up vaccine clinics have popped up in postcodes with low take up, but generally it’s higher than the national average.

Looks like it’s feeding through to the older people , hospitalisations could start creeping up now.

No doubt it will do, but we haven’t had covid wards open for months, hospitalisations have been younger non vaccinated/less complex so far.

The bigger issue is the high numbers of isolations and school closures. People literally can’t get to work 😬 - in hospitals, supermarkets and other key industries
