Couples are doing it all wrong then. WFH means more energy and more possible moments for some slap n tickle. Working in a office you're tired from being up earlier and travelling more and your window of opportunity is a much smaller time frame.
Being with someone 24 hours a day every day isn't the best aphrodisiac.

If it wasn't the Vietnam variant, it would be the somewhere else variant.

Well that's self evidently true. It would just be confusing to find a variant in Chile and call it the 'Vietnam variant' wouldn't it?

i dont care about any variant , just as long as they dont affect june 21st . nothing except the very worst numbers will justify putting back our freedom

Well you cared enough about it to post ...

A new vietnam variant ,, what a load of old bollocks, this is just scaremongering us , they are definitely putting the opening up back , no way would they go to the trouble of reporting all this bullshit without a reason

You seem to be blaming the UK government because the Vietnam authorities reported that they had discovered another Covid variant in their country.

Considering I’m doing a 14 day quarantine with my hubby I can say plenty of sex involved 😂😂

Nowt better to do 😂

Do spectators in stadiums have to wear facemask? I've booked to go to Nottingham Open Tennis in June and the email says masks must be worn at all times, whether seated in the stands (I can sort of understand in the stands but even then, everyone will be socially distanced) or walking round? (Unless eating)

I was quite surprised, was looking forward to wandering round without a mask with it all been in the open, outside.

Looks like stuffing my face all day 😂

I had to when watching international athletics the other day. It was evening though and cold, I didn’t mind it kept my face warm 😂

I think the main thing is ending furlough. There's still 4 more months of it and that's if it ends in September and isn't extended again. The debt is eyewatering and God knows where things will land when the tap is turned off.

This graph is a year old from June 2020 near the start of it all:

Nobody has to be. Maybe only one half of the couple is WFH. Even if you're both WFH you can work from different rooms or one of you can pop out to work from a cafe or library or at a mates if they WFH or you can go on regular walks or shop trips to break it up. You aren't having to be shoulder to shoulder for 24 hours a day.

It says Hancock won't be sacked as Boris wouldn't want to give Cummings publicity. I don't know if you can sack Hancock either. He's made mistakes but there are a number of guys including the PM above him in the pecking order who can overule him at any time.

nobody seems to want to acknowledge that this doesn’t end because of a vaccine and a pub reopening, so many businesses are being kept open artificially, once they stop the support packages they’re gone, the uk don’t have access to cheap EU workers anymore either, and brits won’t do minimum wage.

keeping restrictions in place is a plaster. The infection under that plaster is gonna be shocking.

erm, happy weekend though 🙈

I hope they come to a deal. I wouldn't mind a trip to USA myself with it pretty much back to normal. It would be very popular with people wanting to book to go there this year.

From watching the football it doesn't seem to be mandatory or if it is I dont think stewards arent enforcing it , there seemed more wearing the masks but there were quite a few without , I never know what the rules are tbh

From 1st July employers will be required to contribute 10% of the cost of furlough wages. In my experience when employers were last required to start footing part of the bill was when lots of them decided that one way or another, furlough had to end.

Boris has the skin of a rhino , either that or he doesn't give a tit , the guy is up to his neck in trouble about the way he and Hancock have handled all this , he knows his decisions has led to thousands dying , so at a time we are still worried about what decision he makes next month , he pops off to get married , it just sort of sums him up imo , if I was PM I would have waited for marriage until this is relatively over , like next year , its not like he has to rush to make an honest woman out of Carrie symonds , tbh I don't think there is any honesty in either of them

So you don't want to "start something" but you will. There is an awful lot that I could say about your contributions to the 'debate' but in the spirit of not starting something , I won't.

If you can explain what was disrespectful about this post, you may have a point.

Or why questioning why someone posted about an issue that they then said they weren't interested in is 'patronising'

Tattle may be a site primarily intended for 'gossip' but how does that apply to this thread unless it's intended to be fact free zone.
WHOOSH , straight over your head

I think it is more there is no opposition in Government to Boris and co so he/they can carry on regardless on everything. If we had a credible opposition with a back bone things would be very different.
True , it's a sad state of affairs that our politics has become a choice of Johnson or nobody , this was a perfect time for opposition to be asking questions , digging deep into how this virus has been handled , but they seemed more interested in their position on brexit in the local election , the reason they lost seats was they didn't realise the MPs in those seats were firmly anti brexit , whereas the people in those areas were pro brexit even though they were Labour voters , anyone with any sense would have moved those MPs off those seats and put somone who understood what some Labour voters wanted , they can still vote brexit and be Labour but it seems Starmer didn't understand that and because of brexit he ruined the most important thing at the moment and that's getting Johnson and co away from making decisions that is ruining lives

The question is when

How can that idiot sit there with a straight face saying that if kids take the jab then it means they can stay in school which will help their mental health?

Firstly they can still catch the virus and test positive after their jab, which will still mean time off school as per the rules.

Secondly it's not just missed school that's caused mental health problems in kids, it's being banned from playing with their friends socially and being told that unless they comply with tests they'll take the virus home and make their parents ill.

Surely it will be even more of a head duck for those kids who's parents consent to being jabbed when they still have to isolate and miss out on things like their un jabbed peers, when they've been told that if they have it then you won't have any time off school.

His choice of words seem carefully picked so parents really believe that if they jab their kids they won't then miss any school and consent to vaccinating them.
