How would social distancing being scrapped work if masks are to stay? So you open back up night clubs to pack them out no social distancing but have to wear a mask because you're not sat at a table like in a pub? Both restrictions need scrapping at the same time.

True, one without the other doesn't seem to make a lot of sense unless there's some other set of ifs and buts in the footnotes about booking six months in advance, distancing gone but masks mandatory or maybe have that as a strict either-or thing?

On the other hand it may well become a rule for no snogging anyone unless you are both wearing a facemask, in which case one would hope that those already familiar with that sort of thing can provide guidance and a list of universally accepted safe words :oops: 😇
 
For all the cleverdicks on here just to clarify.... my point was not about peoples opinions,club duties, media training,press ridicule ,all of which I am well aware of thank you, it was about how have we got to the stage where when people are vocal about choosing not to have an injection into their body it creates an article of the kind of thoughts that were printed.

Also, why are people so vocal about having one. Makes me cringe when I see a FB profile photo with "I have had my jab"or "fully vaccinated" I might put mine as "just had my smear" or "just had my ears syringed"
 
Does anyone know if you enter a lateral flow test result on the NHS app and it’s negative but you got a notification saying you’ve been in contact with someone who tested positive and need to isolate for 10 days, does it end your self isolation if you have no symptoms?

Actually I do have people who posted they’ve had their smear to promote having one 😂 Especially in lockdown it was their biggest social outing for months 😂

No it doesn’t you still are meant to isolate for 10 days

Eurgh that’s dumb. My mums friend thought it would as she was worried about work. She’s really stressed out now as it’s obvs a £1000 fine etc.
 
Can anyone in Wales tell me what the guidelines are for car sharing please if you’re from different households? Thank you!

Thanks both, my dad wanted to know as he’s playing golf there next week and wanted to know if they could car share, he says he couldn’t see any info online!

I know, my daughter had to isolate a couple of weeks ago from school she had a negative PCR test the same day the close contact tested positive asymptomatically, then numerous lateral flow negatives and one further PCR negatives and she still had to isolate and miss a week of school. No close contacts transmitted it either.

What I said applies to everything in Henry Slade's life (or anyone else in a similar position to him). It reflects on his club, the club's sponsors, etc. Israel Folau is a prime example of how this all works.

There are similar clauses in contracts all over the world (not just sport), and guess what... all of that was in place before covid so doesn't just apply to any opinions on it.

It still doesn't make it right. I could understand if he was advocating snorting coke or something wild but its chilling the attempted stifling of people who aren't breaking laws and just revealing their vaccine status just as millions of others do every day.

I specifically said in a different post that the vilification of people in the media wasn't right.

I (and potentially a lot of people) don't really care what Henry Slade's view on the covid vaccination is, but I appreciate his dilemma given his medical history, and he's allowed to feel that and voice that.

The problem, and therefore the story, is that he either went further in voicing his opinion that he thinks it's not safe, or it was twisted to make out he'd gone further, and that then became a business issue. Just for clarification, I'm meaning that the problem was that it transcended into a business issue, rather than an issue with his opinion. It might be his prerogative to think whatever he wants, but it doesn't give him a right to voice it publicly.

Plenty of people on this forum will have similar clauses and restrictions in their employment contract. You go into certain areas of employment knowing that your full opinion isn't for public consumption.
