You’re right. I had it in April, didn’t seem to pass it on to my cats who barely left my side, they were both fine. More scaremongering from the media, it’s messing with peoples’ heads.

Great, well that’s my son’s 5th birthday party at home up in the air now. We had a garden party for his brother last month with a few cousins etc and he was so looking forward to it being his turn.

When does it come into effect ? maybe you could have an early party beforehand and do something with just the 4 of you on his birthday x ..my sons birthday fell when everything was still closed down we couldn't do anything ,,it's shit x

Hi, my children started back school last Thursday, yesterday my daughter who is 4 years old just started reception got sent home from school along with 2 other children because she has a cough and cold and she now has to have a covid test before she can return, I’ve also kept my 7 year old and we’re having a test today at 3.30pm, I’m anxious about the test has anyone taken their children for one before? It’s a drive through test centre We’re gonna be in for a long winter at school if this is going to happen everytime children get a cold!

I’m not sure, I think Monday but that doesn’t really give us much time to organise one for this weekend and it’s to be a bit of a wash out. I’ll just have to think of something else and make it up next birthday (hopefully we are all in a better place this time next year).

ETA: that sounded so morbid, “better place” You know what I mean

yep I took mine on tues to a drive in. I had to swab both nostrils. Came back negative today so just a usual cold. Oh for sure it’s going to be a long winter term.
