Thoughts on doctors being allowed to not out covid as a reason for death on death certificates of people who has covid....?!

Seems like a way to skew numbers to me..even the right wing Daily FAIL is reporting on this....

Yes someone capable of stabbing someone is unlikely to care about social distancing or the queens speech. But most crimes aren’t committed just for the sake of it, but for some other end. Usually money. Pickpocketing opportunities are virtually non existent at the moment.
Don’t make out like it’s just shoplifting and street fights that are down. It’s always going to be far nicer to hear that serious assault and robbery are too.
Unfortunately the same can’t be said for domestic violence, from early on many flagged that as a concern and I saw some pretty upsetting stats yesterday.

I beg to differ burglaries in our area are actually on the up ,people are short of cash they have to earn it someway.Don't forget the many addicts out there that still need they're fix weather it's a pandemic or not..

A stabbing happening near you, though dreadful doesn’t prove anything at all about crime rates. Though I guess can explain your perception of them. Are you in London? it’s been so bad in recent years it’s barely newsworthy. What I mean is if you hear about a stabbing their probably rare (I know you’re gonna turn round and say you’re based in stab central stab ciry now but it’s just a theory ! 😉)
We are on the same page about domestic crime. Horrible how predictable that was and yet it still happened...can’t begin to imagine how terrifying it must be to be trapped in a violent relationship during lockdown....

No It was someone else posted that .I don't live in England I guess every region will face different challenges..Domestic will have the most significant rise in my view ..I worry for children the most..

I get why burgarlies happen but the risk of being caught is so much higher right now, you’d think it would put some off. I know addicts are desperate but they are also terrified of getting caught ... you’d think the quarantine situation would filter out the less desperate ones or those willing to do other things (I remember my dad’s house was burgarled when I was a
kid and among some other things they took a few cans of food. Was just really sad).

As if Americans don’t already have that other pandemic to deal with ... what did trump say though?

Yes everyone will face a different challenge ..even alcohol addiction is on the increase people will do what they have to to help them cope
 
I genuinely fear for people currently stuck in with abusive partners right now. The stats before all this were bad enough with 2 women a week on average being killed by their partners(UK).

I can’t remember if it was on one of these threads or elsewhere, but I read about a news reader/presenter had written a domestic violence helpline on the back of her hand and made a point of showing it to the camera inconspicuously but as often as possible for anyone who may need it. Thought that was quite clever and thoughtful.

Like America doesn’t already have a massive raging drug problem.

Regarding pick pockets the police in my area released a picture of a woman they are wanting to speak to in relation to pick pocketing it’s definitely still going on, maybe slightly less often than before.

Trump said that more lives will be lost if the economy does not 'open' as suicide rates will rise and drug addiction will rise and drug addiction will become a great problem.

There have been rumours that he has dementia/Alzheimer’s. No idea if there’s any truth to them but if he doesn’t do drugs or drink what else could it be? Personality disorder? 🤔

Two months ago I could have never envisioned myself discussing trumps antics on a thread about a global pandemic at nearly half 2 on a friday morning. What is my life.
