Hi everyone. First time posting on this thread. I first tested positive on Lateral Flow on the 30th Dec (tested 4 times this day 2 were positive with very faint lines and 2 were negative) and have tested positive everyday since (so 4 days in a row). I took a PCR on the 31st and it came back yesterday as negative. I've done another PCR today as I want to double check. I'm not feeling unwell but I have a slight heavy/itchy feeling in my chest and a bit of a cough.
Anyone had anything similar? I feel in limbo as not sure whether I should be isolating from my family. I've made the decision to isolate at home until I get 2nd PCR results.

Hello it’s your twin here! Keep getting positive on one brand that used to be fine but very faint then negative in other brands then negative pcr twice in a week! More faint positives! I have no answer. It’s the most baffling frustrating thing and my kids and hubby all test negative on that same brand like I used to until Xmas day 🤪

Its so frustrating! Everyone else here is testing negative from the same pack of tests. They started of faint initially for me but are coming up darker positive now.

Yeah but I suppose there's room for error on the PCRs too. I've done the 2nd PCR test to be sure
 
i unknowingly at the time shared a car with a positive person 2 days ago and now i just feel like i'm waiting around the get symptoms :( the anxiety is horrible. my stomach keeps turning at the thought of getting severely ill

My mum was a close contact to 4 people last week. She was out with 4 friends last Monday who tested positive and then her boss tested positive and she saw her on Thursday. She’s been testing daily but still negative

My mum has never tested positive or had any symptoms and has lived with my positive x2 sister and positive brother .two of these times were before vaccinations too .

I didn’t have a single symptom and wasn’t severely Poorly either . I’m double jabbed and boostered. Worst thing was a head ache for 4 days and I was tired all my kids under the age of 8 had it including our 18month old . Again no symptoms and you wouldn’t have believed they had it , they were completely fine and my eldest is a asthmatic . I would be fine and then in my head panicking we were going to die .

That’s one thing that pissed me right off . Kids panto got cancelled , parents evening cancelled a educational trip out to a Victorian workshop cancelled . The school shut all the bubbles down and the kids aren’t even allowed to play with one another in the yard it’s a 2 metre distance and play with their own equipment despite them sitting next to one another in the classroom. Yet a women on my Facebook recorded a concert in Manchester arena . Thousands of people all singing shoulder to shoulder no masks . Out on the lash afterwards .

I won’t lie it’s so annoying but it’s only that brand so it’s super sensitive. Any other test is neg. I am not vaxxed so for proof I would need to show I have it it’s more the fear of not knowing and being bleeping annoyed that my kids and hubby do the same test and get neg. 🤪🤪 like at least If they were screwed tests we would all be in the same boat. I will never know the answer and I could get it sometime soon from my son or hubby who is back to work again Monday so I’ll just have to do one every 3 to 4 days til this wave passes.

When you say brand what do you mean? Are you still testing from the same box? Have tried the same brand but a different box?

Thats really interesting!

But I had a faint line on 1 lft, but and hour later had a negative lft, then a negative pcr. I did have symptoms, but went on the pcr result and carried on.
I took 2 negatives as outweighing the 1 positive
