Things you like to see. The biggest daily decrease for ages!!!!

So we have covid.
I had a mild sore throat and headache Sunday.
Both children + on lateral flows Monday. PCR positive too. Both unwell. Both vaccinated, but still feeling unwell. Both are older teenagers.
My lateral flows negative til Wednesday but then strongly positive and I feel like crap. I’m double vaccinated. PCR also +
Husband and relative who lives with us both double vaccinated but both feel mildly unwell aka mild to moderate “cold” symptoms but are testing - on lateral flows and - PCR tests. We all started to feel unwell at the same time but their tests are all -
So either they have covid and the tests aren’t picking it up because the vaccine works (I think?) or they don’t have covid and have something else (unlikely, we think we all got it from the same place, and we haven’t been able to really isolate them from those of us who are ill due to space and care needs constraints)

It’s a weird virus. The whole thing is really weird.

We feel ok. I would say it’s like a nasty dose of flu if you are vaccinated and catch it from our experience. Never sneezed so much in my bloody life though and same with the teenagers! 😳

I don't think having the vaccine means covid doesnt show as a positive.

They probably just have colds. Living in the same household doesnt mea you will all catch covid, vaccinated or not.

So the pressure has moved from children being super spreaders, back to the elderly and vulnerable to get their boosters to prevent a winter lockdown. Nice.

They just love to apply blame at everyone's door and to try and divide people any way they can

Then it will be 30-50's, then 20-30's, then pregnant women, then teenagers, then back to kids... the facade must go on!

Supposed to be away this weekend on a shopping trip with my daughter. It's all booked and paid for. This is her belated Christmas present from 2019. Booked with a coach company.
She started with cold symptoms Tuesday morning. Have done lfts every day all negative. Tested her this morning and line showed instantly. Just had pcr done. Looks like we're not going anywhere at the weekend and that we've lost over £200 😭

So done another lft on my daugter and it's bloody negative! The one this morning was instant and a very strong line. No idea what's going on now. Guess the pcr results will tell us one way or another

If she's not ill why not go?

The charade only ends when sensible people make it end.

Yes. Constant colds in our house which is why we were surprised when my daughter's lft was positive. We've all had coughs, sniffles, aches etc for weeks and have been testing just in case

Glad its not just me! And hope you're all better soon. I've said here before at school we were picking up every cold etc but not like this. And I'm testing just to be sure. Tempted to say lockdowns haven't helped our immune systems as pre covid definitely had nothing like this!
 
I still haven't been ill since January when I most likely had COVID. Double vaxxed, been goin out as usual now. Even went on the tube some weekends.

Most of our immune systems probably aren't as strong as they were after spending such a long time in insolation, nothing to do with the vaccine x
