I cried tonight (and rarely cry at TV). It was beautifully done. Best episode of Corrie in a very long time.

One of the best episodes of Corrie ever imo. I’m glad Paul didn’t die tonight as the episode was dedicated to Rob, who never gave up. Paul will die soon though they filmed the funeral this week so probably sometime next month.

What an episode that was, very emotional it was very well done. It certainly highlighted what a horrid, cruel disease MND is, bloody heartbreaking

He’s absolutely brilliant, he gets some really good comedy moments, obviously and has the ability to do sensitive well too. He’s 100 percent improved Todd - didn’t care for him before, can you imagine these scenes with Bruno?!

Sounds dramatic, but I’m going to try & watch in a few days time when I am home alone. I lost a grandparent to MND many years ago & it’s been a tough watch for me, sometimes due to poor scripting but also because i find it extremely upsetting. Even though years have passed. I’ve also found it hard to watch anything with Rob Burrow. My Grans voice was one of the first things to go & the similarities in some of the sounds that Paul & Rob both made whist struggling to speak just absolutely punch me in the stomach. But, all the comments seem to be that it’s a well written & well acted episode which is a positive, I’ll book myself in for a good cry when no one else is home !!

The attention brought to MND through the wonderful Rob Burrows battle & through this storyline can only be a good thing x

I just finished watching and came straight here as I was one of the doubters and didn’t plan to watch, ended up crying about three time and thought it was excellent. I’m glad he didn’t give up, thank goodness for calamity Cerys. I hope he does naturally in the end as I don’t think Billy could cope otherwise.

Same. I wasn’t planning on watching it but had it on in the background after Emmerdale and was scrolling my phone. Ended up watching it and thought it was brilliant. Not what I expected whatsoever.

Just watched. Echoing the previous posters but just needed to say what a brilliant ep. It’s all drama and gossip to us but to someone, this is real life. What a lovely respectful way to show the suffering of someone with MND for the general public with no idea

My uncle died 3 years ago from this horrible disease. From seeing him go through they are honestly playing it out so well, they are doing MND some justice as not many people (thankfully) have to deal with it/see a loved one go through it. It’s heartbreaking to watch it all over again but Paul Is playing it so brilliantly it’s so true to real life although I don’t like the part of Billy and the assisted suicide part, so thankfully they didn’t go through with that

Spoiler: Paul Episode

I watched it this morning because I woke up early and couldn’t get back to sleep. I enjoyed it, but then I quite like Paul. He has a good day and then tells Billy it’s time for him to die, but then one of the quads ending up in A&E (they’re fine) puts it on hold, and he changes his mind. I assume he’s going to pass naturally at some point now. I sobbed, lmao, especially at Todd. But it’s definitely skippable if you’re not too fussed.

I did too, I thought Billy was being really selfish. I know it must be heartbreaking, but if he was a pet, you’d let him go. I wouldn’t want to live like that personally so if someone I loved said let me go, I absolutely would.
