he probably has her convince her life will be hell if she ever tried to leave him. He’s the one with the money and resources to ruin her life

Given what hes done and how he acts, I would say he couldn't care less if she left with the kids. If she met someone else, then yea I could see that being an issue. But its clear as day he doesn't respect her, I doubt he even loves her given everything he has done. She knows shes not married and knows if she leaves the money will stop.

I know some couples will turn a blind eye to their partner cheating etc, but when your partner has been accused of rape multiple times, openly said hes cheated and is overall a scumbag most people would leave unless they have something to loose and for Dee it seems like its the money.

I am by no means saying it is easy. I am just saying she has a lot more resources at her finger tips than most women in abusive relationships.

It really is hard to believe he has gotten away with so much, particularly here in Ireland. Was reading about his last court case for dangerous driving. He had to be chased by the garda at 160km in order for them to catch up with him, on the motorway. When initially asked by garda to exit the car he replied "are you taking the piss". SIX times he was asked to get out, & eventually the garda opened the door himself through the open window. During the court case it was pointed out how co operative he was once he reached the station, a little pat on the back for him. I know it's a completely different scenario & he is also a major bellend, but Eonach Burke had to do far less to get a prison sentence. It's just so hard to comprehend how this wanker constantly gets away with it, & does he have "friend's" in higher places taking brown envelopes.

I am by no means saying it is easy. I am just saying she has a lot more resources at her finger tips than most women in abusive relationships.

What resources do you think she has if he controls all the money? Curious to know. I don't think are understanding how powerful this pig is Ireland is a small country he us HUGE all over the world. It's not like Dee has a penny in her own name. He would block her in a second and send the scrotes in to intimidate her, as he has done numerous times to anyone who crosses him.
It's actually baffling how naive some people are.
 
That comment someone said about why was she there, eh I've often found myself in the madest of places with the madest of people when I'm out looking for an afters. When you're buzzing and up for a session all your rational thinking goes out the window so no im sure she didn't intentially go out thinking "oh I might get raped tonight", what a stupid statement to make

In my opinion the quality of Guard ranges from thoroughly decent to indifferent to absolute scumbag who is just doing it because they have nothing else to be at.

Just yesterday on Parnell St a guy had an epileptic fit that needed attention as was collapsed. When the Guards were flagged by people they put down the window and were asked to provide and radio medical assistance. The Guard just said we'll sort it and kept driving. Didn't even go to the guy. It was a very serious situation. They are lazy as hell and demoralised as a force. The thoroughly decent often switch to indifferent.

The thing is she probably doesn’t have any resources. It’s his money not their money, unless she’s putting money away on the quiet into an account with just her name on it then she’s probably got nothing to her name.

This is one of the most ignorant, revolting things I have ever read. You obviously have no idea of coercive relationships (and no, I won't believe you if you come back and say you are in one or you have loads of friends who have been in one). Instead of focusing on her, why not criticise the filthy violent pig that he is? As others have said, he probably controls the money. He also has the power, money and resources to find her and she is probably tit scared. She's stuck between a rock and a hard place. I can imagine you probably think women should dress modestly and not drink too much in case they get raped. FFS.

What so she stays with him forever while he consistently disrespects and humiliates her? Women with not a penny to rub together have gotten away from more violent men than him. Dee has a lot of respect from his fans as she was with him when he had nothing - they see her as his queen 🙄 If she leaves him and he gives her nothing, or worse, starts harassing and tormenting her, he will have very people on his side and he truly will be finished.
 
A conversation I had today with someone about this case was interesting, their thoughts were, he won't serve time for anything he does, it would cost the state too much to have a A-lister like him behind bars, 24 hr around the clock protection in prison for him, most he would get is a criminal record and suspended sentence....

Yes I appreciate that but other women who get away don't have men who will beat her up on his behalf. Burn down their houses. Have the guards onside and the very best of lawyers etc. She can't exactly turn up at a domestic abuse shelter.

I see this opinion a lot and realise some people have lived such sheltered lives. They are the lucky ones.

Those of us who have seen abuse and control first hand know how difficult it really is to leave etc.

Over 20 years ago I was on holiday with my best friend our first holiday abroad went to Turkey and the Sunday world had a load of pages including the front page of I think of the monk
We drank with them all week and no clue who they were my parents were not happy when we got home as we were in there company and plastered all over the papers too
You just never were a night will end

Unfortunately you would probably have to walk in her shoes to have any sort of understanding of a coercive controlling relationship. It's so sad she's also a victim of his.
