It's unbelievable. Can you imagine being a neighbour when that was craned in 🙈

It must look bloody awful from the Smurf House garden too - what were they thinking. Also - I'm not at all convinced that they had suitable insurance that would allow pissed up members of the public to go on an industrial slide. They're lucky no one was hurt and they were personally liable
 
It's interesting looking back at the Smurf House page during the renovations. There's a general vibe that money is no object and what Katie wants she will buy or do - totally carried away by the comments and egging on by others. What is also interesting is that clearly there was a decent amount of free stuff too. Lots of tagging etc. Whilst tit tip towers in Leeds has just been absolute tumbleweed.

The planning decision is interesting as it specifically notes that some of the external structures in the garden and timber cladding on the building may well need planning permission too and Katie should check that. If they sell, they are duty bound to declare that every single neighbour bleeping hates them to any prospective buyer 🙈
 
I just dont understand why they thought they could get away with this? It’s such a residential area.
There are plenty of others places in south hams that would have been more suitable for fire pits and hot tubs.
They haven’t learnt though have they, and with the place in Leeds she’s moaned about planners.

Thing is it’s hard to sell as a holiday let because of the noise restrictions at night in the garden and practical stuff like the parking. But it’s been remodelled totally wrong as a family home.
 
I’m shocked at the slide picture, her poor neighbours having that monstrous view!! They must absolutely dislike her!

I see she’s trying to push rentals on the house with her new best mate, with the angle that if 12 people rent it it’ll be as cheap as £47 a night, fair enough but they would all need to be adults. So tell us Katie where are these 12 adults all going to park their (potentially 6) cars?
 
I’m honestly astounded at the complete lack of forethought that went into the holiday hell house. No future planning, no consideration for what people actually want from a holiday let, just peak Instagram which is now seriously dated and completely impractical.

It really highlights what a selfish person she is, she has absolutely no consideration for anyone but Katie and what Katie wants, Katie gets, the rest of you be damned.

There’s no way Drippy had any involvement in the Smurf house bc he surely would have had the sense to step in and stop of the tit she put in - WHAT IS THAT SLIDE.

Although saying that I’m assuming he has sense just based on owning a dental practice but she had the luxury of that too and has clearly lost the plot entirely, so maybe I’m giving him too much grace here and he’s just a wet wipe who needs to learn to say no.

I presume he was working (as in actually ensuring a guaranteed income) and the Smurf House was Katie's "job". I have to say, I were him, I would feel so terribly let down if this and the Leeds house was the net result of this "job". If I were Katie, I'd be grafting a few days a week at the dental coal face after a period of serious self-reflection. Not spending my time posting photos from my bed criticising what mug Drippy brought my morning tea to me in before Mizzle the Enabler arrives to do her daily jobs, tasks and chores 🙈

Bloody nightmare - best thing that could happen for that family would be to offload these two properties and delete Instagram

That Smurf House is the epitome of an "I'm MAD, me!" personality given free reign

I’m calling it, this room Reno is being done to show potential mugs sorry buyers, how the house could look. Along with the over the top plans for the house and garden, so as not to be a complete waste of money. Look guys, buy this house and you too can have a glass box on the back with a garden seat for 12😂😂😂

She is one of the lucky ones on IG. She has a successful professional career with a guaranteed position and a business partner who has kept the practice ticking over in the meantime. She might have to do a bit of CPD for her return to practice but it's hardly arduous. She's not in the same position as the huns who have nada if all this collapses overnight.

All joking aside, this has clearly been an utter nightmare for the neighbours with noise/rubbish and fireworks. Some of whom have thatched roofs and are worried about the fire pit. Plus having to look at that slide which is accurately described as an "oversized commercial funnel". By the way, the house is in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Someone in one report describes it as a flagrant breach of planning laws. Unbelievable

those neighbours mean business. It seems like they hate the house being a rental ‘ party house’ aswell, not just the carbuncle of a slide😂😂😂

Actually getting back on the GDC Register is not straight forward - particularly if concerns re advertising have been raised with the GDC in the interim. It was very foolish to come off it but, again, I don't think she wanted the a scrutiny re advertising when using the title of dentist.

That said, I agree that it is possible and if you moved back to that line of work and removed yourself from commercial Instagram, it would be sensible. As part of an overall rationalisation. This situation is Instagram at its most pernicious
