Comedians you don’t find funny…

Yes it sounds so contrived because its carries exactly the same pitch and tone no matter what he's laughing at, whereas natural laughter can go from a low fi style 'ha ha ha' to a full on belly laugh.
You only have to watch QI, there are times when sandi is crying with laughter, along with the other guest, totally losing it, but Jimmy, it’s like a recording, exactly the same every time regardless.

Nish Kumar. He’s the most unfunny comedian out there. I just really dislike him intensely too, he loves himself so much but seems thoroughly unpleasant and a total d**k.

I've seen him pop up on lot of things, I always thought he was probably just a z list presenter or pod caster that I'd not heard of. Never occurred to me he was supposed to be a comedian!!!

I really want to like him, and think for a while I had convinced myself that I did (he's got some alright jokes on the odd panel show), but Richard Ayoade. I like him as a person, but God, the show Travel Man with him in it...

The whole 'I'm sucking the humour out of the room and being standoffish to produce awkward situations, and thus laughs' doesn't really work on a travel show. Segment after segment of comedians struggling to work with him, and the staff of random tourist spots politely tittering at his jokes. And whose idea was it to send a guy who clearly doesn't like drinking at all to a drinking segment on every single episode?

Old news, I know, since he's no longer the host and hasn't been for a few years, but still.

Totally agree, and I love Travel Man! It’s definitely a persona for the show as there’s moments where he seems more down to earth then he goes back into comedian mode to get a laugh (which as you say, many of the staff whose first language isn’t English just stand looking awkwardly). The comedians really try to work with him too and he doesn’t give them much to go on apart from being a smart arse.
