I have just checked the corrie wiki site. Her name is Nita Desai.

Nita is played by the woman who plays Manpreet in Emmerdale. Nita’s brother is played by the actor who plays her step-son Jai in Emmerdale

Very soon it will be goodbye to Jim's Cafe/Roy's Rolls in its current guise and location.
The current location of the Cafe was first seen in August 1978, when it was Dawson's Bakery - later Cafe, owned by Joe Dawson.

In January 1980, Jim Sedgwick took over the Cafe and renamed it Jim's. Alma came to briefly manage the Cafe in 1981, returning again in 1982. By 1988 she was divorced from Jim and solely owned the Cafe.

I missed it yesterday so have only just seen Sharons return, she really has worn well looking at her today compared with her recent visit to Corrie.
A 15 year gap in Classic Corrie time (Jan 1984 to Jan 1999).
A 20 and a half year gap recently (Nov 1999 to Apr 2021).

I’ve started watching classic Corrie after reading about it on here. The characters were so much more believable. Even though they did perhaps more far fetched things. I love Jack and Vera. Martin gave his job up in the hospital as a nurse because Les was suing the hospital for his neglect and leaving the drugs trolley unattended. I know someone who was demoted from sister to staff nurse for that. And Corrie needs to sort itself out and get more characters and extras. Maybe now restrictions have ended it’ll improve ??

I think Martin is maybe just suspended? It’ll come out that Les lied about the tablets and he’ll go back to work I think.
I was thinking the other day, it can’t be all that long until Jill Halfpenny appears as his lover (or going by my memory, it’ll be about 8 years off)
Martin handed in his notice when the Hospital was going to give Les an undisclosed settlement, and retraining for Martin.
In today's episode he went into the Hospital to ask if his resignation could be withdrawn. The Manager gave a cock and bull story about his position needing to be filled quickly and no suitable current vacancies were available.
It is clear they wanted rid of Martin.

His bosses maybe overheard him telling Natalie Des was dead like he was saying they’d run out of prawn crackers at the Chinese.
