I think it could be!
What happens to jack and Vera?
They’re just employees now are they (I sometimes fall asleep and delete the episodes when I haven’t watched them all 🙄) maybe they keep working there for a while?

I think both Jack and Vera had spells of ill health long before they passed away so I wonder if them going away is another hastily re-written script

Yes they are employees, I can't remember if they stayed on or move out!

Won't be long before Natalie buys the Rovers and the Duckys have to leave as she wants to live there alone.
Natalie doesn’t deserve any money from Des.I hope his brother comes backs and fights her for some of the cash.Plus would Des have changed his will in just 5 weeks of marriage.Doubt that very much.Is this how Jack and Vera end up in the Mallet household

I said life insurance money but she did sell her house to move into Park Bench HQ with Des - not sure if money from a house would be enough to buy a pub though?

It was a nice house that Natalie sold, filming in it took place in Disbury, a sought after area of Manchester.
I would say a house in an upmarket area would probably be enough to buy a little back street boozer in Weatherfield.

I love Jack and Vera but I do feel a bit for Alec.Vera is forever doing what she wants and he’s always putting up with it.I can understand why he’s had enough.
Tough Greg is so laughable to me.
Was it just me who laughed at Hayley’s auntie being 46.I thought she was some oap who Hayley had promised to spend Xmas with. Not just some 46 year old woman 😂

1999....

Don't forget in addition to the already returned Blanche, 1999 will also see the return of Sharon Gaskell (last seen in 1984), Eunice Gee (last seen in 1982), Norris Cole (last seen in 1997) and Mark Redman (last seen in 1996).

Departures include Alf Roberts, Nick Tilsley, Maud Grimes, Greg Kelly (hooray!!), Lorraine Brownlow, Jackie Dobbs and Judy Mallett.

Tina O'Brien becomes Sarah Lou Platt..

Candice Stowe, Duggie Ferguson and Vinny Sorell arrive.

The six part Coronation Street Special 'After Hours' was aired, featuring Bet, Reg, Vicky, Steve and Vikram. I wonder if ITV3 will repeat it?

Thanks for the info Ingress, lots to look forward to!

Maud is one of the characters I’ve enjoyed watching the most, especially when Reg was there.

Lorraine is a bit of a pointless character and she does a funny starey-eye thing I won’t miss.

I won’t miss Judy or Jackie but I can’t lie, I will miss Bad Boy Frank Spencer. He’s brought a certain something to the Street. Not sure what it is but it’s definitely something…

Glad though that Blanche is back, loved the scene with her and Peter at AA meeting and stuffed marrow for lunch with Deidrie
I can confirm meetings are nothing like that but it’s one of my favourite TV moments ever! She was a great character.

Unseen shot of Greg Kelly menacingly telling Sally they have unfinished business:
