They took their "foster child" Wayne on a camping holiday without telling his Mother and Step Father. The Step Father has been exhorting money from Roy and Hayley. The Step Father found out where the campsite was, and arrived there with the intention of taking Wayne back home, but he was prevented. He phoned social services and informed on Roy and Hayley's behaviour. Roy, Hayley and Wayne have now gone on the run.
Thank you, don’t remember it the 1st time round.

I’ve been catching up but I think at least one episode hasn’t recorded - I’ve gone from Sarah at Gary’s house and Wayne, Roy and Hayley going camping to Gail spending the night with Slithery Richard Hillman, Sarah on the camping trip and MARTIN WEARING BEIGE COMBAT SHORTS!!!

Can someone remind me how Sarah got away from Mr Lusardi?

They pieced all the info together and went back to the pervert's house, Eileen's bloke punched the shit out of him and Gail got Sarah out of there, all whilst Massive Attack's Teardrop played. They sent Sarah off to the camp with Todd, Candace couldn't go because her mum kicked off.

Weirdly vividly remembered the song, with Sarah being led out to the police, but did not remember the whole catfish grooming part.

Thanks OB! It’s funny what sticks in your mind. I was definitely watching it in those days but I can’t remember Wayne at all or Hayley disappearing for a while. I remember Linda having an affair with Mark and vividly remembered her wedding headband but I didn’t think Mike was involved in Alma’s last days so had no memory of her and Hairy Reuben.

The Friday before the Queen's funeral, they showed 4 episodes, so you may have missed 2.

Thanks Chip, that’ll be what’s happened. First world problems but its only series linking every second episode with the others scattered around but I double checked and I hadn‘t deleted any by mistake. That’ll teach me for falling so far behind!

I’ve just watched the episodes with Sarah and that creepy bloke WOW I don’t think I’ll sleep tonight after his face popping up under the bed omg 😱

my sky plus went crazy and didn’t record any of the 4 episodes shown the Friday before the funeral so I had to search for them manually.

He was so creepy! That was a pretty powerful storyline off the back of Toyah’s rape and Alma’s death but I imagine it needed to be done in the early days of chat rooms.

Fun fact - Sam Kane came into my old job to pay a parking ticket once. I think he was appearing in panto or the theatre. Very nice and not at all creepy!
