And… I don’t believe that Roy wouldn’t go anywhere without a razor to shave. Either that or he’s trying to grow a beard to look incognito. Just a stupid story all round.

I totally agree, the producers and scriptwriters almost managed to ruin one of Corrie's greatest couples. They took the trouble to create an iconic, groundbreaking character such as Hayley, and ended up trashing her reputation. All for the purpose of writing an exit storyline for Julie Hesmondhalgh, who was pregnant at the time.
What was worse, was the producers and scriptwriters did not learn from their mistakes. They came up with the Roy and Tracy Barlow scenario a few years later!
 
The decline of a good show started around now. The doctor and his wife are so incredibly boring. Candice and Fizz are just gruesome. Martin and Sally🤢…. Martin does not need another storyline, he’s been on far too much and I’d forgotten how awful he is and now this dreadful story with Roy, Hayley and Wayne.
oh and I forgot Eileen, she’s always been a rude, sarcastic misery who brings nothing but endless dodgy boyfriends to the show.

Agree, it went downhill from bringing Eileen's character in.
 
Double posting but my sky box only recorded one episode yesterday and one episode today is this correct or is it just playing silly beggars again?

I’ve fallen down a MAFSUK rabbit hole so I’m about a week behind on old Corrie. Must catch up! I don’t remember any of these episodes about sally/Martin and the Wayne saga from first time around. I think it must have been around the time I was busy with a new born baby 🤣 x
