Clancy Burke #3 Complaining all day keeps the fiancé away.

1
Uninspiring title.. More of the same.. YAWN. Actually, when I first saw the title, I didn’t realize it was her new Vlog. Aren’t they all titled that? Complaining about minor health “frustrations” ad nauseum, makeup makeup makeup and bitching about her wedding because she doesn’t want to do anything. Time consuming invites! No vows, no flowers, no bridesmaids, no father daughter dance. It’s all so expensive and unnecessary. And it will be such a letdown after it’s over. Why bother? Waaaaah!

I have never heard a 20 something complain so much. I mean, there are people with MS, CP, Cancer and such that don’t complain and describe in detail as much as Clancy does (and on Zac’s behalf)

Her videos are all so repetitive. I think about 75% of the content has been mentioned before. She should try posting a video from 6 months ago and see if anyone notices that it’s not new…lol How’s that for a fun little challenge?

Sleep issues, stressed. Yep. Coffee. Chunky Poop Breakfast. Facial. Books! Orange food. SO stressful! Shopping for Lolo Lemon or LooLaRoo sweats for $118 per piece??? Holy tit, she is sliding fast into bougie these days. Or is she just mining for sponsorships? She is just screaming desperation on so many levels.

FFS. I HATE pranks. Immature, pointless, wasted energy that no one has time for these days. I would stop answering my phone. Didn’t she do one before claiming the dog died or something? Glad Neal swore at her so she had to bleep it out. My favorite part. #teamnealforeva I’m not upset at the shade thrown by both Neal and Zac this time. And when Zac voices his very practical, logical, grown-up thoughts on clothing rental services and rental services in general, she cuts him and the camera off. What kind of twit only wears clothing once? The girls who get it, are 12 or trying to be on the Real Housewives of Cincinnati. The girls who don’t get it, are adults with brains.

Still hasn’t made an effort to clean the bedroom. Rude, disrespectful, entitled.

“Hey, does anyone remember that I am a former TV News Reporter? I have a million clips to show you how much I hated it. The reason I made that my career for five years is just so I could witch and complain about it for the rest of my life. I also want you to remember that I hate cold. But no worries, choosing to live in Cincinnati makes so much sense!”

More makeup routines? Seriously?? She’s kidding, right? “Makeup Lewks for Your Flop Era!” And her 3 product lip look, she did before when they were traveling because I remember Zac making fun of her/ commenting that she brought the 3 products to dinner in case she needed to touch up. $70 for a 3 lipstick look. So frugal! And I admit I’m being an ahole, but the weird thing she does with the lips/jaw and lipstick (sometimes it shows up in her thumbnails) is so annoying.

For someone who says she not trying be negative or complain too much, she does such a good job of it every. single. Vlog.

Complains condescendingly about pre-cut squash, because she deserves a $700+k home because she makes the sacrifice of cutting her own veggies and reminds us she’s saving for wedding she routinely rants about and has shown no joy in planning but also buys responsibly sourced, pre-seasoned salmon.

Again, noticed more solicitations for suggestions on clothing rental services, advice on sleep. Now, you know it’s a trap because she doesn’t care what we think.

And oh thank the Sweet Lord in Heaven, she’s taking a weekend off from filming and “the Vlog” because she is so stressed and really, really needs a break. You know, chill, relaxing, lazy, easy breezy weekend.

At the end, for her to brag that she offered to ‘make’ Zac dinner, when in reality, she said she would make asparagus. And then… add chicken. He points that out, asparagus is not dinner. And she gets crappy and calls HIM a diva? Zoinks!

PS: There were a few comments suggesting she try thrift shops and consignment stores. I love thrift stores. I cannot imagine seeing her in a thrift store. Most people I know- with money and without- love thrift stores, marketplace, yard sales, etc. Not for everything but they are fun, you can find cool items and I love repurposing and donating too.

Bravo. I could not have said this better myself! You are spot on!! (And yeah thrift stores are awesome, and even now they’re getting expensive too:()

They must have found a house and she is keeping quiet about it. She was freaking out over house hunting, and now, nothing.
She actually admitted she was going to pretend for You Tube that she was excited about her wedding. We know she pretended to love her job, I don't trust anything she says.

I understand this sentiment, but I don't blame her for not being fully honest about her feelings towards her job. As much as it would've been nice for her to be open about her unhappiness, it would've been a bad look for her. I understand why she didn't complain about her job while she was there online publicly. Her news station probably would've seen it and not been happy. Personally I would never leave such an obvious paper trail of myself speaking badly about current or former jobs. That would be something to keep in private conversations with close friends and family IMO.

I agree. Also, if you really listen to what she's said, she didn't lie in my opinion. She enjoyed her job. She liked the morning show and the stories she got to do. I think she still feels that way (though she admits it was difficult). What she didn't like was the hours (which she never claimed to love) and some of the people (whom she never claimed to love). Clancy has a way about her that comes across very snobby, judgmental, and better than. She's also a You Tuber which real journalists really look down on. Add to that, she didn't pay her dues in the day of YT. It used to be that anyone not graduating from Mizzou or Northwestern (i.e. the top journalism school in the country) started in Butte, Montana or somewhere similar to make mistakes, spend several years learning, then slowly progress to better markets. They usually started out as an MMJ, doing all their own shooting, editing, etc. Only the best of the best of the best who graduated with top honors from a top journalism school started out in decent markets. Clancy, who went to nowheresville college, but happens to have a YT channel, starts out in Dayton, which is a decent market.

To give you an idea, Butte, MT is Market 185 out of approximately 200. It's a starter market where many start out.

Dayton is market 64. Definitely a second job or third job market, definitely NOT a starter market for majority of people. And then she jumped to Cincy which is in the top 40 or 50.

Most people begin in Market 100+ if not 150+ and then slowly progress to market 50. Someone might be in their 3rd or 4th job -- working 5 - 10 years -- by the time anyone in Cincy even looks at their application and audition reel.

Clancy had no experience and just plops herself in market 67. I mean, good for her! I admire people like that. But I bet her colleagues who probably spent many years in beginner's markets were probably jealous and angry that they hired someone right out of school. If that's the case, she probably sensed the tension and knew she wasn't liked or respected.

I think Clancy got good through YT. She was a natural talker on camera so I think she deserved her job, but I can see where her co-workers would be annoyed especially as she continued to do YT (and showing the behind the scenes of news no less) despite having a professional job, which some see as cheapening the profession.

I thought she didn’t like the stories? She got bored after one year already, is what she said on the last vlog. She also had to source her own stories which she also didn’t like. I agree in that her complaining while on the job would have been unprofessional but she definitely over compensated by pretending to absolutely love it, when really she didn’t like much about it did she? She didn’t like the hours, having to source the stories, reporting on “negative” stories (fires, etc), some of her coworkers, etc.

Of course you shouldn't criticize your employer on You Tube. Or talk about them at all! But Clancy created this whole persona and large following because her channel was about her TV job and how much she loved it. She is still using TV news reporting clips in every vlog because she knows that's her draw--even though she no longer works there. Very disingenuous. And yes, I think she will say she absolutely loved her wedding, even if she doesn't because it's all about creating an image on YT.

yes exactly. Her channel was centred on her job and she still inserts clips and talks about it ad nauseum. You can’t have it both ways. Also she only worked in the industry five years! That’s child’s play.

I didn't hear her say that. What she said was she didn't like the stories she had to cover when working regular hours or filling in. That was her beef. She wanted to be a morning show reporter and only a morning show reporter. I think she wanted to end up on Good Morning America doing fluff pieces. She said many times, both when she was reporting and even AFTER she quit, that she enjoyed the stories. What she didn't like was the fire stories that came from day shift (regular hours) and that's why she didn't ask to be a dayside reporter.

Im not following - doesn’t your first sentence confirm what I said? She said in the last vlog the stories got old fast - including the fluff stories. Oh well

No, it doesn't confirm what you said. You said she hated her own stories. What I'm saying is that she hates the stories for the day shift, NOT that she hates the stories she had to do. I also didn't hear her say the stories got old fast. She said standing outside for opening day got old fast. I've honestly never heard her say she hated her morning show stories. It's normal for anyone to hate certain parts of their job, like standing outside in the cold. It's also normal for anyone to hate the job their co-workers do (like reporting on fires). But I really haven't heard Clancy say something that makes me she lied about how much she enjoyed being a morning reporter.

This may be semantics, but it's important in my opinion.

I am 1000% sure that she did state more than once that she said the stories got old fast and that she hated her stories (including sourcing them). I’m not going to go through every single vlog to find all of the examples cause that’s crazy but that I am sure of. I have a feeling you won’t take my word for it so oh well. I’m not losing sleep over this 😅

Precisely, she wants engagement, interaction, likes and whatever will boost her channel. She has no interest in her followers or what they think or feel or recommend. Duh!

Also, I think she was mentioned before, but I've been doing a deep dive on Ali Fedotowsky-Manno (The Bachelor/ette) and if you want to see where Clancy Bee is headed, that's it. I loved Ali on The Bachelor/ette and followed her, and I think her kids are adorable. Molly reminded me of my daughter when she was a toddler. But Ali got to be super-repetitive, every post was an ad with a swipe up link for something. Then they moved and stayed with parents, bought a house, there was issues and drama and every day was a saga over which color sink fixtures to choose. I grew weary of that, but she started being very invasive with the kids. Discussing Riley's bathroom habits, filming Molly's night terrors, it was uncomfortable. But then, she started filming Molly doing her own "Lives" and where she was mimicking Ali and I just unfollowed. This was probably a year or more ago.

I saw something on IG about the whole school thing, and holding Molly back because of her age. And I almost responded because I had a different take than her and most of her Stepford followers but then realized she'd already made her decision. I think it's a terrible idea, to hold her back and change schools when she is at a school she loves with friends and is doing well academically. She keeps saying "Molly wants to go to the new school." But I have no doubt Molly has heard what Ali wants and is feeding into this issue of Molly being younger crap and is parroting it to make her mom happy. It makes me sad. Instead of switching schools, she should work on Molly being able to cope and her self-esteem. I have a feeling that Ali is going to be moving external heaven and earth to please and accommodate Molly, when the external isn't the issue. And her son Riley is cute as a bug, but he is always being overshadowed by Molly.

Anyway, there are so many similarities, it's frightening.

What do we think her “super secret work project” is?? A course for aspiring news reporters? A podcast? A book?

I just can’t imagine what she would talk about outside reporting….

With her channel focus shift from being a news reporter to being a "lifestyle blogger" Clancy is running into the same problem that pretty much all Lifestyle Bloggers run into - life is a lot of repetition and not that interesting.

In the beginning you can make content on "normal" things - here's what I like to eat, here's my skin care regiment, here's my workout, here's my favorite pub to eat at, etc. The first time around it's all new content and can keep you going for a few months but then you start to run out of things to blog about. In real life you don't really change a lot of your lifestyle stuff so to provide content you either have to make changes often (usually trying to get a sponsorship) or you have sub-divide down that content to minor stuff like I used to roast broccoli with salt, pepper, and garlic powder but now I've added onion powder - here's 15 minutes about that.

With the news reporter thing she had something else to draw from for content, with that gone it's just her and sometimes Zac. She had the right idea with trying to introduce travel blogging but she doesn't have the right personality for that. Successful travel blogging requires a more dynamic personality and is about having a sense of adventure and trying new things, taking some risks (not having a chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries at different restaurants in the SE US). She is also aging out of her previous stuff - she's in her late 20s now and is still blogging like she is 22.

She seems to be bouncing trying to find something she can grab onto - the travel thing was a big fail, people are getting tired of hearing her complain about minor stuff while ignoring how much priviledge she enjoys, her wedding seems to be a dud in terms of blogging. Buying a new house seems to be her next attempt at finding content, followed I'm sure by trying to get pregnant (I can't imagine the complaining coming from that).

It's probably just some stupid sponsorship for a worthless product no one wants or needs but will buy because some influencer told them to. I can't imagine her coming out with merch and everything else seems like a stretch for her while she's homeless and bouncing around from Zac's parents to her parents. It's really sad that she reminds me of those boomerang kids who won't leave their parents' basement and find a life of their own.

I watched the latest vlog. She’s still a total idiot. When she talks about people committing suicide - “If they only knew how loved and valuable they are”... It doesn’t matter how loved, or successful, or valued someone is - those things don’t make a difference when you’re in that state of mind. Shes generally very ill-informed about mental health but she talks about it with such confidence.

And her new “seize the day”schtick is just as fake as her nails.

Just don't take life so seriously and you won't be sucicidel... Why is she so ignorant....

She’s so dumb, sometimes people aren’t as blessed as you Clancy and they don’t have the luxury of not taking life so seriously because they have real world problems. That was insulting and rude af. Yet again extremely privileged. Im glad she’s a mental health expert 🤣, definitely one of the top five people NOT to listen to about your mental health.

Her suicide comments did sound ignorant. And inserting a pic of the girl who committed suicide? So inappropriate.
Is Zac going to be well enough to walk down the aisle? Will the mystery illness ever be solved? I still get the feeling they will postpone, but I guess they can't. She's the most unenthusiastic bride.
