I watched Jenna’s video and honestly it’s night and day from Clancy. I’m not really a lifestyle vlog watcher, so I probably won’t tune in much, but her family seems like a lot of fun. It’s obvious how much they love each other.

My god, that is beyond excessive. Over 4000 square feet for TWO people. She embodies everything I hate about consumer culture, yet still pretends she is frugal. How on earth are people not calling her out…with this large purchase she will be hyper anxious for the rest of her life.

Gorgeous home but this isn’t what most young married couples get into as their first home. We all like nice things, but you have to be realistic too. The fact she is furniture shopping with no home yet is weird to me. At this rate, she is going to be house poor. Seems like Zac has some common sense so hopefully he will keep her grounded.
The travel vlogging thing was a flop, so now she's thinking she can be buy a big house and be a home decor influencer. If her decorating taste is anything like her fashion taste, this will be a disaster. Remember when she bought all the new clothes after she quit her job? They probably don't even fit now due to her "fun little project." I guess that is why she is thinking $90 a month to rent clothes is a good deal. But she's so frugal, guys.

The home isn’t even nice to me. It’s a cookie cutter, sterile home that’s void of any personality (which actually fits Clancy fairly well). And the West Elm-style furniture is equally as boring. Clancy is a sponge who accommodates her tastes and personality to whatever is trending.

My recap/thoughts:
“The Vlog” seems to be increasingly boring. Do all of her blogs start with her complaining about stress, being annoyed? Making an email list for wedding invites? Egads! The pressure! Complaining about a wedding task that is so time-consuming when she literally does very little all day... Wow!
Then, after window shopping all day, sticks the camera in Zac’s face while he’s working, with that weird voice, claiming he’s stress-free and living his best life. Next, she gets all wonky about her ‘fun little challenge’ that will not permit her to eat a Thin Mint. witches about Burn Boot Camp. witches about sleeping. God, help her as she gets older, has children, or has a real issue. And the complain, backtrack, complain, backtrack, is super annoying. The repetitiveness, and the “You guys know, I..” Ok, so if we all know, then stop repeating yourself on every. single. video.
I would not have noticed the repeating wardrobe except that she keeps bringing it up. We're treated to more excuses and justifications for not getting her own car, accessing her own clothes. For someone so financially savvy, spending $90+ on a monthly clothing rental seems pretty ridiculous when she could just take Zac and a couple of his buddies or Neal on an afternoon and shop in her own closet. But, I have no doubt she’d rather do a clothing subscription service because it’s trendy, could lead to monetization/ sponsorship-all the cool kids are doing it. Socks, not so much?
I did think it was funny that Zac seemed to be trying to stir up some ship with the Girl Scouts, and she was not having it. Honestly, I was a girl scout, daughter was too but I haven’t bought them since I was a kid. They are too expensive and exploitative, and Dollar General has Blackmarket Samoas and Thin Mints for less than half the price.
Then, she claims she knows what people are going to say in the comments, but only addresses one single point. If she doesn’t want comments or feedback, then she should disable them!
Her saying “Everyone has their own thing-like shoes, or clothing or a ‘fun little hobby’” But me, Clancy Bee? My thing is a $1m Starter Home. Teehee! I also noticed several times, she asked for feedback about things. Trying to increase engagement? Seems v disingenuous. Even though she said earlier that she didn’t need to use YouTube as her therapy, that is exactly what “the Vlog” feels like of late.
With the thousands, upon thousands, of important news stories and things to address, she is all verklempt over the fate of TikTok? I personally think it’s a cesspool. I have a couple of friends who would send me stuff all the time and I don’t enjoy them, they are usually stoopid and I get aggravated for the :30 I wasted watching it. Another reference to when she was a TV News Reporter. But now she is able to have relaxing mornings. Which I guess feeds into a full day of window shopping, followed by a chill, relaxing evening with her kindle…
And then she is working from bed? Wow.. How “chill” and “relaxed” can one person be? Real life is going to be an absolute shipshow for her, if she ever experiences it.
We are treated to yet another cringey moment in the car where Clancy goads Zac into telling a “funny” story, and when he attempts to grant her request, she talks over him, interrupts and refutes what he is saying. Poor guy tries to stand up for himself and she is not having it.
To Sum Up: Zits, dandruff, holy socks. Chill. Chill. Chill. Blather, Rinse, Repeat.
PS. Someone left a comment referencing TattleLife (Screenshot), but when I went back to look this evening, I didn’t see it. I could have missed it but I wonder if she removed it?

I really think she needs a job. A person can only go on for so long with zero structure and zero reason to get up everyday and continue to be productive. I’m not saying you need to work to be productive but she’s clearly incapable of managing and handling the stress of her very boring life, she needs something to do. I’d hate to see how she’d react if something real actually happened to her. The things she freaks out over is insane.
I worked with a man once who told me something I’ve never forgot. He was an army veteran and was in the war, and he said “in the army if you panic, we shot you” and I get that’s like way over the top
but I swear it’s stuck with me. Don’t panic remain calm and figure it out. None of which she does. The things she panics about is what drives me insane.
Get some damn therapy first of all, recognize that you have an anxiety disorder. These things you bring up have names. I couldn’t get out of bed and I’m sick 24/7, depression. I kept thinking I had to do this or something would happen, intrusive thoughts. I’m buying a house but can’t even enjoy one second of it because I’m an epic control freak, anxiety. No one understands the world like I do, narcissist.
I have a suggestion Clancy dear, next read try the DSM-5, I’m sure it’s available on Kindle. They might even sponsor you

Exactly. And I understand our experiences are all subjective and someone else is always worse/better off, but Clancy really has had an all American girl upbringing. If a somewhat involved mother and sarcastic father is the worst she’s endured, then I call that a success.

2 Thoughts about the new vlog:
1. Was she not JUST promoting a skincare brand? And now she has breakouts that are ‘so bad’ (according to her) that she spends 1/3 of the video talking about it. That doesn’t influence me to touch that brand with a ten foot pole.
2. She is looking at listings of houses to get a better idea for home decor? Does she know show homes are basic so that you can imagine yourself living and decorating it how you like? Not sure what kind of inspiration she’s trying to get…

Her eplanation is sketchy. She's never mentioned DIME Beauty before. She had been using it for 2+ months prior to now but we never saw of it, heard of it. Now she must not be using it anymore. So she blames stress (which it could be) but because she doesn't want to shade DIME or whatever she's using now for fear she'll blow chances of future sponsorships.
