Is it me or is she really hamming up the working class London accent today? She usually sounds relatively middle class, it's really jarring.

yes I noticed this too. It was totally different to her usual Essex accent. I live locally to her so her usual accent is very familiar.

I looked and it’s a study carried out by Loughborough uni. I wonder how many took part, whether the disposable income of the parents and the sex of the children was considered in all of this? It seems like it could be a flawed study. Also aren’t Starling Bank no great in reimbursing you if you’ve been a victim of fraud?

Despite how much she annoys me, I always assumed that Cathy was actually a good writer. I have very much changed my mind after the excerpts she shared from the smear test article this morning.

A couple of examples:
- The letter 'plops' onto the doormat (ok, primary school creative writing homework)
- 'sample of cells is taken from your cervix with an object called a speculuum' (not sure if she's just worded this terribly or she hasn't done the most basic research? The speculuum is used to ACCESS the cervix, a small brush is used to remove the cells)

Sorry if I'm being a pedant but I was genuinely surprised at how poorly written this is!
