I can’t attach the screen recording I just took but she’s on her stories now saying that she’s not accountable to anyone for covering the girls faces now.
She comes across as so rude! For so long she’s shown their faces and has benefited from that with freebies and gifts, now she mustn’t be getting anything which is why she covers them. Still has all the old pics, so if she wanted them to have privacy then surely she’d remove the old posts!
 
Typical influencer tit. Use your kids to gain traction, get ads/gifted tit and then decide they deserve privacy when you've achieved your goal - which for Cathy was always a guardian column/book deal. She's got those now so the kids 'deserve' privacy or whatever.

She can act as high and mighty as she wants about not doing ads any more. Fact remains that she did and she used her kids FREQUENTLY to get those. Too little too late.

Also, she doesn't owe anyone on insta anything does she? Conveniently forgetting the early days when she begged for engagement on ads and for people to hound beauty brands to get them to work with her..... the entitlement knows no bounds.
 
Latest stories about the queer dating are interesting. Claiming she 'acts more straight' around straight people is telling in my opinion. What is 'acting straight'? It really feels like her queer identity is an attempt to be different and fit into a crowd that's 'edgy' or 'kooky' or whatever.

Would like to add a disclaimer to the above: not saying that queer people by definition are 'edgy/kooky' - I'm saying that Cathy views it this way and uses it as a way to fit into a group of people and find a tribe.

*states it’s not her place to share thoughts
*shares her thoughts
*states it’s ok to have different opinions on matters despite the whole MO of her account being about slating others who don’t share her opinions
*flags that she regrets being in a tv ‘tell all’ documentary. Not the first time, because she did it again. Not the second time, because she took part a third time. Only after three times of doing this did she realise she regretted her decisions.

I have followed Cathy for a long time, around the time she did her podcast with Clemmie Hooper. Back when she first started out she was called 'that single mum' on insta and most of her content was day-to-day mum stuff with quite a heavy focus on dating (men specifically). Regular mum blogger/family stuff, and LOTS about dating and her search for finding someone.

Over the years I've watched as she has very very much tried to carve out her 'brand' of being a disabled/queer activist who wants to be heavily associated with leftist/lgbtq+/minority cultures. Unfortunately she always seems to be one step behind these circles and is always trying to play catch up. Very rarely do I see her express an original idea or champion a cause that hasn't really been discussed - she clearly keeps a close eye on what others in those circles are doing and then hops on and starts shouting about it.

I've noticed quite a few left/activist types championing masking recently, so it's no surprise to me that Cathy is now doing the same. It's cultural capital.
 
Why would you be more likely to catch covid waiting in line for a jab than you are anywhere else? I don't get her outrage...


Also, has she noticed no-one else wears masks anywhere now?

I’m a nurse and even if I have covid the guidelines are to attend work unless you are so unwell that you can’t come in
