I’m usually a lurker on this thread but I felt the need to come on and let you know that I have been influenced by Carrie. Earlier this week, she posted a story about how amazing it was to see her book on the shelves in Sainsburys. In the picture, I noticed another book that I wanted being sold at a very reasonable price. So, this morning I took myself off to Sainsburys to buy said book, and left hers on the shelf! Thank you, Carrie. 🤣

Should have taken a photo and tagger her and Joel in and see if they read it or just repost it 🤣

I work for a library service and this made me go and look on our system at how many loans her books have had. For some context, I work in a service that has 46 public libraries, various school libraries and covers an area the size of a small European country.

With This Kiss has been loaned out 31 times; this figure includes any time a person renewed the loan on the copy they had (ie one person could account for up to 7 "loans" as they can renew it up to 6 times but it's still just the one person reading it). Her most loaned book on our system seems to be In The Time We Lost, but some of that may be accounted for by it being released in 2019, and when we had to shut the libraries for Covid the books kept being automatically renewed and racking up loan figures simply because people couldn't return them.

All I Know Now has been loaned 6 times.

Maybe stick to fiction if you really must, Care Bear.

Sameeee. I bought Deadly Daisy after seeing that story as I knew it was only 99p on Kindle, and as it's still in the charts it seemed like a good little bargain. I've read The Book-Lover's Retreat this week too which was also in her story...

It's like fate. She wanted to write a tell all book at 30, and her career just so happened to die at 30. No good roles coming in anymore. No more west end roles for her. She'll become a regular in Canterbury

The Palladium Panto has been announced at last (Peter Pan) including most of the primary cast except Peter Pan him/herself and I think she's a bit heavy footed for that role, so I think we're safe on that front. Phew! Canterbury it is then.

CHF #66 - No 1 influencer (for buying other people’s books) 🤣

I think Carrie is genuinely so dense that she thinks you can just write a "non fiction book" by whipping open your laptop on the Tube and word vomiting into a Google Doc. I don't think she understands the amount of research and planning that goes into non fiction writing

She's never had to work for it. Because of her name they'll publish whatever crap she comes out with and her gaggle of fans will lap it up

This new tour poster looks like she's got her hands out begging for money/sales

I just had a little look at ticket sales for her tour at my local venue.
It seems they've reduced the prices. Tickets that were £47.50 are now £32. And there's still most of them for sale either on the venue website or Ticketmaster. She's probably sold about 60 tickets in a venue that holds over 1000. And now the ticket price has been reduced.

Oh dear.

Really? What about the Times chart that shows you how many books have been sold in a week. If that’s published you’d think there must be stats somewhere for those who have not made the chart? 🤔

At what point do they cancel I wonder.
It’s literally in a few weeks
