That’s a pretty general description, the law is more complex than that around matrimonial rights and property, he will get some rights of occupation but not ownership.

I agree- the first three or four years are where you really figure out if you're compatible and try living together for at least a year. I also think you need to learn a lot more about a person in that time. For example, when I first met my partner I was amazed at how much we talked, for hours and hours and hours nonstop. I thought that meant we had something really special. But then over time I met his friends and family and realised he and his family are just huge talkers, they can all chat the hind leg off of a donkey!! So while what we had was still special, it wasn't quite the "omg we are meant to be" feeling I thought at the start. There were loads of other things I hadn't realised in the first months that were really special though, like our outlook on life and certain other compatibilities you can't know in the first few months.

I just think you need at least a year or so to properly know someone and have big conversations, see them through a tricky time, go on a few holidays and deal with the reality of living together after the initial buzz has worn off. I could never have agreed to marry anyone after less than three years tbh, you simply don't know what you're getting into at that stage.

I think Carrie has completely fooled herself and gone way too hard with trying to speed run her relationship. She will bitterly regret this, once they've rushed through all the milestones- and I genuinely worry she still wakes up in the night wishing she was with Ollie. What a mess!

You give your notice in the district where you live, not the place you're getting married necessarily. So you could live in Nottingham but be getting married in Brighton, your notice will still be displayed in Nottingham Town Hall.
It depends where he now resides. If they now officially both live in carries house then they'll go to give their notice together in their local register office and it will be displayed for 28 days there.

I find this such a strange answer considering her career is singing and being on stage.

Her answer is implying that she’s embarrassed to sing or that she doesn’t think she can sing?

She used to post herself singing on YouTube all the time, why wouldn’t you want to sing at your own wedding which is a celebration of your love and partner and therefore the perfect time to be a bit self obsessed. Very odd response.
 
Argh, I’ve stayed quiet for a while but Grabby’s latest stories annoyed me. First she is crowing about all the free stuff she got from cancer research uk because people donated to her page ( no disrespect to the charity they are fantastic) I mean she could have done a giveaway or something, or just kept quiet, but then she’s asking for more donations as she has a charity place for Make a wish and needs to raise £350 so needs her followers to donate. Girl if you’d not bought that ridiculously expensive dressing gown you’d be almost there from your own funds. Fine to ask people to donate but not to raise enough for a charity place that you can well afford
 
I get that she's doing these runs for charity, fair enough. But I also kind of get the feeling she's grabbing for money a lot (see current stories yay you gave money so I get free stuff) and I find it tactless. There's a cost of living crisis, I personally am finding it very difficult (not putting on the heating or even the big light. Only eating budget or reduced foods etc) and here she is in her mansion asking for money so she gets free running gear.

How strange. I too, after thinking there were some odd people around here, had a dream last night about our favourite comedy duo.

They had a baby, a gigantic baby. The babies name was Bruno. In fairness to my subconscious mind none of that seems out of the question.
