… is anyone brave enough to add *super proud butt crack pictures* or something equally sassy?

Presumably when Oliver lived there he maybe contributed half to everything so she’ll be missing that money now?

I have no factual basis here but the hill I’m willing to die on is that Oliver’s financial contributions were extremely minimal. Carrie was the much higher earner between them, and she worshipped him. I don’t think she was making him pay half the mortgage. At best maybe he did the food shop once in a while or paid a bit towards utilities.

I genuinely feel like Oliver was mostly a kept man in their relationship. Carrie was obsessed with him and he was very much not obsessed with her. He liked her but I think the main driving force in him settling down with her was the financial comforts. As soon as he landed a decent paying stable gig and as soon as the theatres were properly open again, he left. I don’t think that was a coincidence.

Fully agree on this theory. Carrie took on the mortgage expecting to pay it herself and was too obsessed with Oliver. Also, I feel like for him contributing so much to someone else's mortgage while not receiving a cut in the house is a tit deal. I know he cooked sometimes for them so yeah I could see that his role was getting the groceries and prepping dinner. And agree that he settled because of the financial benefits. Would he have still wanted to see her if it involved paying his own high rent and making a long trek out to see her? Doubtful

She’s hardly poor and her brother is a millionaire…I’m sure she will survive

I was replying to the person who said she's maybe struggling with money hence why she's offering lessons.

Her brother might be a millionaire but him and his annoying wife still love a freebie and claimed furlough, so maybe he's a tight arse millionaire who doesn't share his millions?!

Who would want to pay half a mortgage for a house they don't own? I'd have expected him to contribute with half the bills, food and other expenses but certainly not pay her mortgage.

Anyway she's pathetic with those lessons she offers, that's exploitation of young impressionable minds at its finest. She should be ashamed of herself for stopping so low.
I will bet that she won't declare that as additional income either.

I'm actually shocked she doesn't have patreon. You would have thought that those 'lessons' could come under one of the higher tiers or something. For someone of her level, she would probably make some decent extra money out of exclusive content and stuff. But if she started patreon now, it would look kinda desperate. She has three successful jobs and money from renting a London flat. I don't think she's struggling in the slightest.

I do really want to see what the half hour lesson is like though. If she wants to be taken seriously and not off of her name, make a damn video or something that introduces the lesson and what you can learn.

I agree, I do not believe he was paying toward the mortgage. I think it is far more believable that he paid his way toward the utilities and food but the mortgage? No. Personally I would not want somebody paying toward a mortgage in my name - I would always worry they would be entitled to a % should we split and I sell? 🤣 And on the flipside I would not want to pay towards my partner's mortgage, it would make me feel very odd.

No doubt all or some of our questions will be answered come the next Q&A 🤣

Exactly, what can you possibly do in 30 minutes?!

That was quick
His sister also commented on his post ‘I love to see my brother happy’! I always got the impression Carrie didn’t see much of his family as he always seemed to go up to visit them on his own.
Wow the shade.
I wonder if she ever commented on Carrie’s posts.
Carrie strikes me as super high maintenance so I can imagine Oli did lots of soothing and cosseting and talking down from the ledge

I have some actual tea on this. They didn’t get on.

From what I know.. his family are very straight talking, to the point, working class northerners. Salt of the earth. Lady Fletcher wasn’t fawned over or treated like a celebrity and she didn’t like it, so from there on made 0 effort with them.

don’t give her any ideas 🤣

Surely she’s getting paid from the CCC rehearsals so she’s got income. Also I think most lessons now are back to being in person, surely she would be better off hiring a teaching space and doing longer 1-1 or group sessions than 30 mins over zoom. Very odd

Yeah, seems that way, or that she has _no_ idea what is normally required in such sessions and is asking her fans to do her work for her. I find this really provoking, actually, given that she has herself admitted (several times, and recently!) that she can´t teach and that she should leave that sort of things to people who actually can teach. It is such bad form of her to now turn around and get money from her fans when she _knows_ she isn´t a good teacher. Also, the lack of self-awareness....! She has a good voice, but she 100% cannot act. It´s offensive that she is even attempting this.
It’s such a scam. Why not get a real job like the rest of us if money is tight instead of stealing money from fans who make less than she does.
