But it is funny an artist who's family were so rich they basically bought her career and payola'd her into a career... is bigger than many other artists. It suprises me she is bigger than your traditional powerhouse vocalist because she isn't one.

I've heard so many people get mad that she basically pushed Pink! out of the starring role in that song. Yeah, she did. And rightly fucking so imo.

People say she had a shitty attitude and I'm not denying that but she certainly didn't allow herself to get taken advantage of, be controlled and manipulated etc. If she was a sweet, innocent angel like our Brit, I bet her career would have been steered a lot differently and she likely wouldn't be as stable as she is now. So, if that makes her a bitch because she knew her worth and took no shit, good for her.

"Talent" is such an exhausting and overrated concept. I would not describe Taylor Swift as technically exceptional in any one aspect of performance, though she has improved over her career. Britney has a distinctive voice and was a strong dancer but I don't think that's why she is the superstar instead of say Christina Aguilera. Madonna isn't a particularly noteworthy singer, neither is Katy Perry, neither is Billie Eilish. "Talent" isn't what draws fans and never has been. What matters are the songs (and no, it doesn't matter who wrote them) and charisma, which can't be faked.

(Also can I just point out that Christina always tries to out-sing everyone she's on stage with? Girlfriend is practically SCREAMING during the back half of Lady Marmalade so that everyone knows what A Talent she is. We get it, bitch. People still like crazy-ass Britney more. Pink is still selling out tour dates and you're once again eating Britney's leftovers by doing a Vegas residency.)

the mary j thing is SO old, in fact, mary apologised because she had misunderstood the sutuation, and invited Christina to sing as a charity event that she had, and they are now actually friendly, so obviously she wasn’t that bad.

She was a a young girl who was assertive and people did not like that, especially people who had been in the business for longer.

Even now its her assertiveness and taking no bullshit attitude that turns people off.

she might not have been the biggest star but her career has had longevity and she seems happy with the balance of work and family life.

She has the same group of friends she had from her stripped days that ride for her so that says more to me about her than what someone like Avril lavinge says (who also doesn’t have the best reputation)
