Can't take Simon Cowell seriously on this (well less than ever now!) - he just looks so weird now, he has turned himself into his own spitting image puppet.

The French magician was stupid, it was just a similarly built guy under the cover on the chair allowing the real guy to slip off stage straight away, while the lights blind the audience and cameras. You could see him coming back on from the wings to sit on the blinders (lights) each time. Very standard misdirection used in various West End theatre shows when a key cast member needs to pop up elsewhere on the stage than where you think they are/were. Other than that it was just him padding it out with lots of talk.

I was flicking channels so missed the intro - but was that really a CGI cat who just got 4 yes’s? So the judges / audience were all just looking at a blank stage??
