He definitely changed after his son was born. Any act involving kids will get a yes from him. I was watching old footage from XFactor lately and he was probably too brutally honest at times but he has gone to the other extreme now.

Same here, I watch it as a bit of light hearted entertainment on the weekends but it's becoming more and more set up also with acts that are sometimes well established but pretending not to be.

'Why did you come to BGT?'
'Because you invited me...oops was I not supposed to say that'😁

I was watching an old clip of X Factor. Louis asks these girls what their group is called. They say “The Stunners” and he replies “Oh” and giggles.
You couldn’t do that now

I think what puts the talented people off is how fake these shows have been shown to be and how damaging to people’s mental health

I remember watching a YouTube video about the contract the acts need to sign for it. Basically sign your life away
 
Missed some of today's show but that guy reminds me of Lucy spraggan, the judges not liking the first song and then belts out a lovely heartfelt song 🙂

Oh and the science guy was good but its not a senior school science lesson 🙄

But surely they only had the golden confetti/ticker tape this time as when Bruno did his extra Golden Buzzer last week, the guy Bruno pressed it for didn’t get the glitter because they hadn’t filled it up so the producers made sure to fill it up this time in case the panel decided again to do another GB

Well yes, but it was obvious it was already set up for Simon to press. All golden buzzes where used up so no need to fill the confetti up again regardless.

He has lost the plot, I agree.

This year especially I notice he overpraises very mediocre acts as amazing, 'never saw anything as good before'.
I don't know if he is trying to fool himself about the show or what.
