Britain's Got Talent 2023

I stopped watching years ago as I canā€™t stand David Walliams. Thought Iā€™d give it a go this year with him gone but gave up after the first week. Thought it was meant to be Britainā€™s Got Talent? Yes, the Ghetto Kids are brilliant but they, & so many of the others, arenā€™t British acts so itā€™s not Britainā€™s Got Talent, is it? Itā€™s The Worldā€™s Got Talent

This thread is dead because the contestants are not some randomer who sings to themselves in their bedroom mirror, 95% of them are already well known/have a career.
Yep... even Malakai has been on TV before, he sung a solo on Carols at Kings at Christmas (I think it was that anyway, it was one of them carol concerts in a cathedral anyway). Not disputing his talent at all.... he's amazing (hope his voice doesn't break before the semi's though) but it's definitely not his first cakewalk!
Ok, just done a quick google and he's sung at the Royal Opera House and sung with Aled Jones... so definitely not some unknown!

Show has massively gone
All of the kids acts (1st and 2nd) were cringe and tit sorry.
Singer was alright but I hate when they do the whole ā€œim so nervousā€ thing. Feels disingenuous.

A golden buzzer??? For that??

piss take
Totally agree, how was THAT worth a golden buzzer, I feel like theyā€™re seeing Iā€™m not!ā€™

I abandoned it halfway through but will probably watch the rest of it tomorrow šŸ˜.
I think Simon goes way over the top about absolutely mediocre and less than mediocre acts, telling them how wonderful they are.

I kinda miss the days when he was brutally honest.
I think heā€™s gone soft in his old age ! šŸ˜‚

Ive always loved this show but Iā€™m on the verge of ditching itšŸ˜ž
