Yep, seen that earlier but not had a chance to post. I know, thought that deal was dead and buried but here we are!

Billy must have put his foot down and told them he was leaving as I don’t think Brighton wanted to let him go I see the medical etc is taking place in London. Good on him, he obviously wants the move. He’ll do well there!

Yep, we both thought that after Matt's injury the deal was off and that he would stay at Brighton but it looks like he is officially off to Napoli.

That's what I'm thinking as well as it does seem as though Billy has put his foot down and told Brighton that he doesn't want to stay despite them wanting to keep him. Yep, I read that the medical is taking place in London which makes sense as it would be one mad rush getting him to Italy and signing everything before the deadline etc. I agree good on him for wanting to go to Napoli as it's clear that he wanted to this move the minute that they showed interest and just like Scott I can see him doing very well at Napoli as both of them will become fan favourites very quickly.

So, like we suspected Billy did ask Brighton if he could leave. I see in the last 10 minutes or so McSauce has been offically confirmed as a Napoli player.

Yep, as suspected he indeed asked to leave, Brighton didn’t want to sell. Well, if they had given him reassurances over pre season he’d maybe have stayed! He had so much more to give them but on to a new adventure now

Wonder if he’ll sell his house in Brighton, I’m sure he took a mortgage out on it rather than rented. He may rent it out? Him and his dad have a business to buy places and do them up to rent or sell at a profit.

Honestly I am so happy for him as he fully deserves this move and it's clear that he wanted to go and prove himself in Serie A. Him and McSauce will be such a good partnership and I can't wait to see them play their club football together as they will boss the midfield and support each other massively They will definitely have a lot to talk about over the international break plus both of them will need to work on their Italian together

I think pre-season was a massive game changer in his decision because if he had got game time during the tour to Japan he would have stayed at Brighton and tbh I don't think Brighton gave him the reassurance that he would get as much game time as he did last season. I agree he definitely had so much more to give to Brighton as he had so much more to prove to them but hey ho on to Italy he goes and under Conte he will flourish and become a fan favourite with the Napoli fans very quickly. Yep, it is indeed last day drama because after the injury to Matt I was convinced that he was going to stay at Brighton but obviously things changed. I think Billy and Scott will do very well at Napoli and it least they can settle in at Napoli together. I would have loved Billy & Chilly back together but that isn't going to happen now.

Yeah, that's what I think the reason is as to why nobody's signed him. The more injury prone a player is the more likely it is that teams will not want them.

Well, Napoli are playing against Parma tonight at 19:45 so I wonder if he will be unveiled in front of the fans before the start of the match or at half time.

Yep, I thought seeing as he couldn't go to Italy yesterday he would go to the game tonight and be unveiled that way.

It would be a massive shame if his family aren't with him for the unveiling but seeing as Harvey is playing today it makes sense as to why they aren't with him as they probably thought that he was staying at Brighton. I bet they would have been really excited to see him being unveiled as well so it is a shame if they have missed out on this opportunity.
