I can't believe the international games are coming up soon when we have only just started the season again. It seems ridiculous to have international games this early IMO as they should start them in October/November.

I don't think he will be in the team tonight as I imagine that Brighton will rest a lot of their key players and play the ones that haven't played in the Premier League yet. If Hurzeler is trying to talk him into staying then it suggests that he might see Billy as a crucial first team player but tbh I don't really see where Billy would fit into the squad especially when they have just signed Matt who was rumoured to be his replacement. I honestly don't know what to believe at the moment as Hurzeler seems to be changing his mind constantly as Matt was supposedly signed as Billy's replacement but now he is trying to persuade Billy to stay despite the fact that they have signed lots of midfielders which may lead to Billy not getting as much game time as he did last season. The whole situation feels like such a mess IMO.

I didn't think Billy would be in the team tonight as I think Brighton are playing the ones who haven't played in the Premier League yet.

It appears that McSauce is indeed going to Napoli and it will be really interesting to see how he does I think he'll do really well as I imagine he will play further up the pitch compared to United where he was just stuck in midfield.

I don't know how Brighton are signing so many players but it looks like they have also signed Ferdi Kadioglu who is at the game tonight.

I honestly have no idea how it wasn't a red card as it was a shocking tackle by Jay Williams he knew what he was doing. It is such bad luck as I bet he was so excited to make his Brighton debut and then he had it ruined by a shocking tackle after 9 minutes. he isn't out for long but I have to say it doesn't look good.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Billy stays at Brighton now given Matt's injury but at the same time I still wouldn't be surprised if he did end up at Napoli. As deadline day is on Friday I suppose we will have to wait to see what happens. What do you think?

Yeah, I'm still undecided on whether the move will happen as part of me is saying that it will still happen whilst the other part of me says that it won't. If the move doesn't happen then I can see Napoli going back for him in January.

I have to say I'm surprised that another PL team hasn't come in for him because as his price tag is so low you would think that a PL team could easily come in and give Brighton the asking price that they want for him but as of yet nobody from the PL has made a bid for him. It could still happen but at the moment I think it is unlikely that this is going to happen unless someone comes in with a last minute offer.

After confirming the signing of Ferdi Kadioglu on Tuesday evening I think Brighton have spent up to nearly £200m in players alone as they have signed a lot of players for very big fees and as a result I do think they will need to sell players in January to balance the books for FFP and I wouldn't be surprised if Billy was one of the players to leave, but if he does get a lot of playing time between now and January 2025 then it might be the case where Brighton don't sell him and instead sell other players that they don't need. I would imagine that Matt will be out until the new year at least and I can't believe it happened to him on his debut I bet he's absolutely gutted.

Yep, at least we will see Billy in the Premier League until January at least as I imagine that Napoli will come back in for him with another bid. I think he'll start on Saturday now whereas if Matt wasn't injured I think he would have been on the bench and come on with 15 or so minutes left. With it being an early kick off it makes it easier for him to head up home straight away as he can report to Scotland camp on Monday morning without any problems.

Billy was always staying with him when they were at Chelsea. They’ll be out all the time if Chilly goes to Brighton, which means more goss for us!

Yeah, I read that United aren't proceeding with their interest which surprises me as I thought they would be in for a left-back given that Shaw is hardly fit nowadays. I wouldn't be surprised if Newcastle made a last minute bid for him but then again they haven't made as many signings as I thought they would have done so they might not go in for him. I have to say like you I thought Newcastle might have come in for Billy given that they don't have many midfielders but they haven't which suggests that they aren't looking for any midfielders at this moment in time.

Yep, seen that earlier but not had a chance to post. I know, thought that deal was dead and buried but here we are!

Billy must have put his foot down and told them he was leaving as I don’t think Brighton wanted to let him go I see the medical etc is taking place in London. Good on him, he obviously wants the move. He’ll do well there!
