I like Paddy O'Connell, great presenter, I always try and listen when he sits in for J Vine on Radio 2.I haven't listened to that for a while, I'll catch up with today's, I think.
Yes, he is. I like him a lot too.I like Paddy O'Connell, great presenter, I always try and listen when he sits in for J Vine on Radio 2.
I've been waiting for that but it never materialised. I hope he gets picked up by another station.Does anyone know if the "Serious Jockin'" podcast has materialised?
Always a good Sunday morning listen and Paddy O'Connell is an excellent host.Broadcasting House on Radio 4 is good this morning, the latest BBC sex pics scandal, lost music of St Kilda, Belarus president/Wagner group
New to this thread so sorry if it's already been discussed but is anyone completely grossed out by Gary Davies? I cringe every time he's on the radio
She's off a lot. Not a fan of her show but there always seems to be someone filling in for her.Does Zoe Ball ever actually turn up and do some work? Every time I tune into BBC2 in the morning she's never there ... I'm not complaining as she annoys me but she is off an awful lot.
Same here. That reminded me I once had a Radio 1 calendar from that era with him in it. Can't really remember who else was in it - I think Steve Wright, Bruno Brooks, Peter Powell, Simon Bates. Oh and DLTI really like ooh Gary Davies but then I'm of the age when I remember him coming onto the scene on Radio 1 and TOTPs. I've always had a soft spot for him.
I agree. I’m not sure how well she will go down nation wide. She doesn’t have the type of appeal that’s required. Also, this could look as though the BBC is favouring the South / South East yet again, when they had an opportunity to go in a different direction.I'm quite surprised it's Jo on this new late shift, particularly given how much she's complained about the late nights. There must be numerous other local presenters who would have been suitable for the role. Jo is also very 'London' and is going to have to have a much more generic national show.
Given the general current media climate, I'm also surprised the BBC has chosen a London presenter for this. Although I suppose it was never going to be anyone from smaller parts of the East Midlands, or anywhere 'not on the map' or not urban.
