Last night I was the phone to my dad (who's well in his 80's) and he was discussing Ken's old slot. He then said ' I really like the guy who's there at the minute but he couldn't remember his name. After a while he said the one that starts 'ooh Gary' to which I said Gary Davies . My husband, at the mention of Gary's name instantly goes ' ooh Gary Davies' ... Seriously, it's like a Pavlov's dog reaction

I saw that he released a statement yesterday thanking people for their concern & will be off for a little while longer

He does regular live shows across the UK as well as all the radio work.
Must take it's toll.
Gary Davies too, he also does live 80's nights at venues.

He did say the sound of the 60's tour will need to be postponed.

He's 80 years old with a tremendous workload. Maybe he needs to take his foot off the pedal.

I notice how enthusiastic Ken is at GHR and plugging his show in interviews. In contrast to how he was when Scott Mills was doing his charity walkathon for children in need last November. His heart mustn't have been in it then and he must have been wanting to leave then! It's when all 5 daytime presenters were on the treadmills and Ken just didn't want to be there st all!!
