Any foster home at all is traumatising for a kid. I wouldn’t say a word about it even if it’s a bit exaggerated.
We lived in the same flats and are the same age I know how old we were when they moved into their nanny’s. I’m not calling it 100% bullshit, there are totally true aspects and I’m not diminishing anything but I am annoyed that he feels the need to allow his PR team to make his life seem harder than it was for fame. There is absolutely no need.
The truth of the matter is him and Eric had a loving home with their nanny and Lorraine. They went on holiday to Greece for months at a time because someone related to him had a holiday home there, he had the space and the freedom to pursue acting. Considering where both of us are from that is a lot of privilege.
His early life was difficult I’m sure but he leaves out most, if not all of the good and that is where my problem is.
There is nothing middle class about north inner city Dublin and having a heroin addict mother.downplaying the boring middle class stuff.

His brother boxed the head of him in Galway years back. He used to post about him a lot until then so it seems like they never made it up. They aren’t the first set of Irish brothers to throw a punch on a drink fuelled night & they won’t be the last
The first part of that article - He was arrested for being drunk on a balcony?!

I don’t know maybe it’s because I know his family and him that I find it so hard to digest the unhonesty. I’m unlikely to ever meet him again so it’s fine but it really bothers me
I know that you can permanently be living with someone but still be classed in "foster care" because the state basically will monitor you until you're adopted. You can be taking out of the permanent living and placed back in care at any time. He also could of be living with the Nanny instead of in the foster home/ foster care home behind the states back. You wouldn't know but I think Dublin is a little too small for him to be totally making that up.
He is genuinely talented though. He could be in the Leo diCaprio/Cillian Murphy/Matthew McConnaughey league if he kept his tit together for long enough.
I agree. Talent like that stands out fairly early on, even in smaller roles. I remember watching Love/Hate and thinking I hope that weird looking kid who shot up the cat gets more work, because he's so distinct looking and despicable. Then he popped up in Eternals and I thought he was very charismatic and he's gotten nothing but rave reviews on his acting in nearly every project he's been in since. Was his performance in Banshees overrated? Personally I did think so but that doesn't mean he didn't do well. If he makes good choices professionally and maintains some likability in the public eye, he'll be well up there with the solid Hollywood A listers long-term.
As for Sabrina, I know a lot of people haven't heard of her, but she's been working for manyy years (started out as a child actor) so it's not like she's some talentless social climber who appeared out of nowhere. I do think she and Barry make an unexpected couple, but it's boosted both their fame and ya know what I find them way more interesting than Taylor and Travis so I welcome the change in celeb gossip lately.
Same and I’m loving the video with Barry in itI've fallen down a Sabrina Carpenter rabbit hole and now she's my new favourite singer and I'm depressed I'm no longer 25
