I'm assuming he's been rear facing the majority of the time he's been in the car as she's been in the back with him.

She's said today this will be her first time driving with Alf on her own (only for 10 mins apparently) so she doesn't even know how he's going to be, if he will cry etc so she's choosing to ignore the safety advice for her own convenience.

Christ, someone’s rattled today.

She’s so defensive! And she doesn’t get the difference between things which are serious safety concerns and could cause harm including death (like cot bumpers or iPads slamming into a child in a car crash) and things which are a matter of opinion (e.g. puréed foods for older kids, stupid but not catastrophically harmful).

UK law around car seats is way behind EU and other laws. You can legally take a child in a taxi with no car seat or seat belt in the UK. Doesn’t make it safe.
Can she genuinely not manage a 10 minute journey with him? If he’s glued to the iPad anyway I can’t see it matters whether he’s rear or forward facing, her saying “he can see me” doesn’t justify the genuine safety concerns.

I feel like the more she’s challenged the more she gets off on being controversial. That’ll be the GB news influence rubbing off.

That latest video she’s post literally makes me cringe so hard. That hideous jiggle she does. Poor Alf looks likes he’s being held by a stranger, there’s just no connection whatsoever. He looks bloody miserable as sin just so she can jiggle her tits around for yet another Instagram post. So embarrassed for her.

Also that video of her saying he’s such a mummy’s boy because he was saying mama as Tommy walked into the room. My child the same age as Alf says mama for so many things, just says mama when they’re babbling, as it’s one of the handful of noises they can make at the moment, doesn’t mean they are necessarily wanting me! Sorry ash, back to your ‘research’ on this one, you’re clutching! He’s definitely not obsessed with you!

Also- install him in the front if that’s your only reason!! I don’t know what car she has but I’m betting it’s one of the many where you can turn the passenger airbag off and install a car seat rear facing in the front seat.

Also, does he only cry when he can’t see her? Does he not cry for any other reason? What’s she gonna do if he’s forward facing and still kicking off in the back? Excuses all the time with her

Jaguar SUV / 4WD afaik. She made a big song & dance on her stories a while back about going to get it (from a garage near her Ma & Pa) & getting Tommy to drive it back (ie to Essex) because she was too scared.

Nobody (except actual farmers) needs an SUV. Ashley, Tommy & Alf would be fine in a Focus/Golf-sized car. The carbon footprint - from manufacture alone - of an SUV is 25-35% higher than that of a large estate car. Plus they’re harder to park apparently (source: personal observation👀).

I think Ashley was hoping to be taken on as a brand ambassador (FFS) for a luxury car firm or at least have something #kindlygifted but that didn’t materialise so she had to make do with a cheaper option from a garage in the North. Such impoverishment, such a struggle.

Ashley Louise James #moremoneythansense (#evenifsensewasgifted).

is there any time during the day that Alf doesn't have a screen in front of him? ....either in car, phone at mealtimes or TV....even when he's playing in his little tykes car, theres obviously a TV on in the background as he's continuously looking over to it and when Ashley was holding him in reel this morning his gaze was obviously looking towards a screen
Ffs, switch the screens off Ashley and play with your child or let him explore , without the need of a screen!

How many times a day does she mention the mum police??

Mum - / Pouch - / People Who Care - police. It’s all grist to the mill for a pretend DJ / world traveller / trashy TV reality “star” / will advertise anything as long as I’m naked or in lingerie pretty woman who hasn’t learnt how to make a living via anything other than her looks.

She's Chief Inspector of the mum police.

Everytime she mentions it, it's in relation to something she knows there's a recommended/better/safer/proven way to do something which she knows she'll ignore.

Rather than take any responsibility for herself, it's easier to play victim and use the "mum police" card.

If she's honestly " pooped" after doing the merest basic of parenting tasks today, shows just how little she actually does with Alf without the help of childminder, Tommy and his parents
does she not realise that most mums do all this as well as working....we don't all have the luxury of a husband/partner who works from home to help out with the majority of childcare like Ashley .....heaven help her if she had a normal job!
and Ashley, ffs get rid of the bumper and "snake" toy, they are a suffocation hazard

And she didn't even spend the day alone - Lucy Meck's house so no doubt some help from other mum's there and then time in the park with a friend.

She finds days with him "long" (newsflash - you haven't been alone with him) - I normally find my long days are things I don't enjoy. I've never described spending time with my child "long".
