I dont think its a surprise that a book about Sinn Fien from a republican journalist is being slaughtered by the Indo and dicks on twitter. I’ll reserve opinion until wider reviews are in. She does have a lot of opposition on twitter and always has so I would think a lot of the comments are biased. In a way I an rooting for her as so so many men fill this space and don't get the same tit she does but it has to be good, better than good or she’s over. Stakes are high for her. I always wonder what happened to her political correspondent role at the Times, she was only there mere weeks!?

Something odd seems to have happened. She got the political correspondent job and then it just never materialised. She also used to be featured on the likes of Brendan O Connor and shes not been on that for a long time too. I used to hear her on the radio a lot and now never. Peculiar

Much of the indo's review centred around the fact that she lifted entire passages from articles written by other journalists and added no new insights. To me that isnt biased that is pointing out laziness.

On twitter a few comments were about how unclear her writing was and she referred to one man being dead when in fact he is still alive. Again that is a lack of research and laziness.

Tbf the Irish times have given it a rather decent review ...maybe Ellis o Hanlon just had a personal vendetta against agm....🤷‍♂️..it also is rather forgiving off the odd inaccuracy...to be expected it says in such a long piece of work....but it doesn't like the generous use of f bombs

Personal vendetta? It’s an objective, critical review from an industry expert, which any author worth their salt just takes on the chin instead of automatically shouting troll. 😏

Right so I’ve only just discovered that AGM had a thread and I know I’m very later to the party here but what I’ve read on here is quite the revelation🤯 I’ve never been a fan of Aoife and don’t believe the hype around her but all the huns think the sun shines out of her hole. She’s complete a show off.

Did she really do the dirty with Richard Chambers?
I knew that himself and Louise broke up but my theory was that she didn’t want to move away from Cork, I always perceived her a bit needy but nobody deserves to be cheated on. I didn’t think for a minute there was another party involved. Anyway let’s carry on.

Louise would be very high maintenance at the best of times but she's well rid if Chambers.

I had to laugh at this bone-headed question Muirrean asks:

“something happened to you when you were YUNG GURR in your life”

That "something" is Bloody Sunday in 1972. ROTFL. The clip VM put up on their YT begins after this question.
