I feel for so many who are really getting themselves upset because they’ve taken the vaccine and they’ve been convinced now that it will hurt them,
vulnerable people falling for this tit.

I need to keep away from it all but these people don’t see the damage they’re doing.

Is it possible to close that conspiracy thread? Or does closing it kinda go against everything tattle stands for?

Closing it plays directly into their hands as they would say their free speech was being curbed (which it kind of would be to be fair- we don’t have to look on the thread!)

I get the frustration though, even on a good day that thread can make me feel sad and angry. Some of the posts are extremely worrying - not because I think they will happen but because people believe this stuff with so little evidence and are so adamant😞

Yeah that was kinda my thoughts :/ as you say it’s just worrying because of all the false information on there. Oh well. Better leave them to it

They're so hellbent on their agenda they don't care, they actually want to cause damage, they want to spread fear, they want people to be so scared of being vaccinated they will potentially put their lives, and the those of others, on the line.

When I see the language they use, the imagery and videos they post it is all pretty terrifying. They accuse us of being brainwashed sheep, of living in fear and yet fear is what they use to recruit others to their way of thinking.

So no wonder you were angry. But there is no reasoning with them, sadly. You make a valid point, ask a reasonable question and get bombarded with links to hour long videos entitled "The Great Reset" , "Operation Lockstep", "Emminent professor/scientist/medical doctor (delete as applicable) issues dire warning at to why you shouldn't take the Covid Vaccine" etc etc. It is exhausting.

I doubt it will be closed, and the innocent theories can be amusing to read, its harmless! Not for the Pope obviously 😂
it’s the bleeping dangerous tit that seems to be flooding every corner of the internet lately, it pains me to see people getting upset and fall down that sinkhole.
especially when they’re clearly struggling.

I like to think the “information“ is being “passed on” with no sinister motives especially on here.

I love all these who wont take the vaccine because they dont know what's in it. You dont know what's in most things that go in your body, tell me the ingredients of a Turkey Twizzler right now. Go on, dare you. CT folks really do think they know a single shred of anything about science or virology or anything when they literally select the information they absorb based on YouTube thumbnails.

They really dont realise how dangerous some of these theories are. Like they can really affect someones life. Imagine if someone read something completely false about a celeb or something and then that person decided they were going to go and kill that person because they're a 'devil worshipper' or something because they had 666,666 followers or some other CT thing. I know that's really extreme but that's how far it CAN go. I once watched a show on TV, idk what it was, but it featured a man who people on the street accused of being a pedophile. He worked in a school. He was a shy man who lived alone. He got trolled and trolled, death threats the lot. He ended up trying to kill himself, lost his job and had to move away. He wasnt a pedophile, people just decided they didnt like him.

The CT thread here jumps from theory to theory, anti-vaxxers to kidnapped children being delivered like pizzas, to the Pope being arrested (by the FBI, no less, wonder how that's going?🤣) to the Queen replaced by an imposter, to China controlling us all via pandemic restrictions, Bill Gates tracking us, and in the meantime some poor souls are drawn in and end up terrified because they received a very necessary inoculation! It's immoral.

And oh my, the videos they cluster round, squawking with excitement at the 'truth' being exposed. A severe lack of critical analysis skills in evidence. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Still, if it's in the Daily Mail, they'll assume it's accurate. 🙄🤣
 
There are also some barefaced liars on there and people who have been banned come back with new names, it’s quite insidious the way one particular poster has identified as a care home worker, a teacher, a nurse, has children, doesn’t have children, has MH issues, doesn’t have MH issues etc, depending on who they are “empathising” with. I think it’s called mirroring and is a powerful psychological tool.

Anti vaxxers are not new. Margaret Collins O'Driscoll was elected to the Irish parliament (Dail) in 1923 - this is part of a speech about anti-vaxxers (smallpox) she made in 1928 (she had 14 children)

I have read some of the objections that in the early days were put up against vaccination. Deputy Byrne’s theories seem as ridiculous as many of the objections that were put up when Dr Jenner first discovered the effects of vaccination. It was prophesied that vaccination would brutalise the children; it was averred that the vaccinated children became ox-faced; that abscesses broke out to indicate the spread of horns, and that the countenance of the person affected became gradually transmuted into the visage of a cow, and the voice into the bellowing of bulls. There seems to be about just as much sense and logic in some of the arguments which the anti-vaccinationists have put up in this House as there were in the objections I have just mentioned. I appeal to deputies to think of their responsibilities to the children of this country and to oppose this measure.”
 
The fact that they believe so many nonsense conspiracy theories really shreds a lot of credibility. It makes them seem to be honest, quite naive and very suggestible, which seems to be the opposite to how they see themselves.

Its good for people to be a healthy level of sceptical, but they only seem to be sceptical of the dastardly mainstream media and not these youtube bloggers they seem to think are 100% trustworthy.

Now who’s being conspiracy theorist - 😂😂😂. In all honesty, being as I am active on that board, I have no idea who you are referring too.
I understand why a lot of people who brandish their theories all over Twitter and Facebook etc are annoying and dangerous, but we are not all like that. But I do wonder why our thread is so annoying to the rest of you, being as we keep to ourselves over there?

Yes (though its not called that atm) I actually enjoy reading the conspiracy thread when it is a wider range of topics discussed, I’ve even joined in when you were all chatting about JonBenet and true crime conspiracies but I actually really struggle now it’s so covid focussed.

There’s so much great reset chat which is spoken about as more than just a theory but a definitive thing which if you don’t believe you are laughed at or called a sheep on there. I feel like there’s no room to disagree with that stuff, and it’s not just throwing ideas around harmlessly. Some posters seem very consumed by what they think is going on and I find it hard to read.
 
I tend to believe in Occam’s Razor (that the simplest explanation is usually the correct one) so I’m not big on conspiracy theories. I haven’t ventured into that thread because I don’t trust myself to not get in trouble 😂

I think people who believe in the sillier theories are just displaying a lack of intelligence. They like to have these stupid ideas because it makes them feel clever
