What? Does that really happen? I’m not on Facebook but I feel like this needs to be addressed. There definitely needs to be some accountability here. It’s not like she made one off the cuff comment. There are MANY comments, insulting MANY (if not all? Who has she left out?) minorities and races. For a company that is meant to represent these groups under the umbrella of women/feminism goes against their foundations. If they ignore, that is bloody disgusting! She should definitely have known better, she was an adult and someone even called them out for being racist on one of the posts so it’s not a matter of times changing. It wasn’t the 50’s. True reflection of her character.

They will ignore it. Also, LC has been employed by Cosmo, Huffington Post and Mamamia and not one of these huge organisations with enormous HR budgets and background checks could see these posts, yet the rest of us found them as soon as we went looking? Concerning.

Okay but IMAGINE online media and content creation being your whole-arse JOB, across multiple platforms and formats over many years.. and NEVER bothering to go back over old (but publicly accessible!) socials to scrub any content that’s harmful to your brand?!
Obviously, the comments themselves- and the attitudes they reveal- are deplorable, and it’s also shocking how recently they were tagging and saying these things. Reminds me of the worst of the worst of it when I was in high school… in the noughties. And these were grown women , doing it in the 2010s. Pathetic.
For all reading here who’s identities have been amongst those slandered or made a joke of by these mean girls, I am so sorry. It doesn’t surprise me that they’re seemingly scrubbing the evidence w/out making any formal acknowledgment or apology. I think we all know what the caliber of chat likely is between these (all white?) women when they get drunk together.. the ‘casual’ racism, slurs and stereotyping comes out. They’ve never moved on from thinking that stuff is funny- they’ve just realised they have to at least pretend not to be racist publicly

She knew people found it offensive and still couldn’t see it. Some people will always claim, “oh it was ten years ago” or whatever (which is NOT a defence!!), but she stood by these comments as recently as 2019. It’s appalling. She’s only removing those posts now to save face.

She happens to be a good friend of mine and she has definitely made mistakes in the past but contacting her places of employment seems a bit extreme
