What she's experiencing is coercive control. It's probably been happening very gradually over the time she's been with him. I really feel for her. People are already saying there's no smoke without fire. As someone who has very recent of experience of someone threatening to tell lies about them, it doesn't matter if it's not true. It's not that simple. It's embarrassing, unprofessional, you worry about the what ifs etc. It's a horrible thing to experience even if you have the evidence to prove it isn't true.

Me too. You can be so worn down by someone and persuaded to do things you'd never consider in a healthy mindset. ❤ xx

None of this makes any sense. Why didn’t she go straight to the police when this person started blackmailing her? Surely anyone with half a brain cell would know that if someone is trying to blackmail you then they’re not going to stop after one payment, once you give in to them they will carry on and try to bleed you dry. It’s an awful thing to happen but she’s been very naive in thinking she could buy them off and that would be the end of it.

I don't get this "no smoke without fire argument" sometimes there are rubbish people.
She probably paid because she wanted it to go away, which with hindsight or a clearer brain (not blinded by panic) thought its not going to work. If she up to something illegal why would she report it to the police, then release it to the press who will dig and dig for a story?

I could be totally misremembering this but I'm sure there was some bloke on Tik Tok a few months ago saying he was going to out her for something. It was around the time the story of her new bloke broke. I assumed at the time it was some bloke who got a bit jealous of the news but maybe there was more to it. I'm sure he was saying she'd supported him coming off drugs or something like that?

When she was on Saturday night takeaway she seemed tetchy af. Normally those wind up features last quite a while but hers was over really quickly. I thought it was odd at the time - they must have cut a lot because she was being arsey.
Maybe this blackmailing (whether she's done something or not) has been going on a while.

I don't think he has any evidence of anything. It's been stated the allegations are 'untrue'. If he had evidence of her doing drugs then that wouldn't be untrue would it. It would be a fact.

He's a chancer. A nasty, vindictive abuser* and people like that are manipulative and dedicated to the cause. They collect vague evidence of misdemeanours that could call into question the other person but there's never any real evidence because their claims are not true.

She seems like such a lovely person who doesn't seem to have been particularly swayed by fame and who is generally spoken of very highly from people who have met her. I'm sad she thought she'd found happiness, only to be betrayed by the likes of him.

It’s all a bit baffling. I guess if she was in a relationship with him (which we’re assuming to be the case), that complicates things a bit. Someone earlier suggested coercion being a factor, for example.
