Fully agree with you here. She’s trying to get ahead of some revelation, which was probably already passed to the Sun. The Sun’s got her by the short and curlies now.

I have to say she doesn’t seem the❄️ type. And ❄️ is so endemic amongst celebs that I can’t believe that that on its own would be enough for blackmail. I wonder what else it could have been….

I think it could cause issues as she’s a family presenter and not the image anyone would want being seen as wholesome

I guess so, although Ant or Dec (never remember which one) survived having his addiction exposed. If it is drugs then it must be quite the habit to warrant this sort of mystery treatment as I assume that every celeb has a sneaky line or two on the reg

Nigella got away with it (the cocaine stuff), but she’s kind of a national institution. I don’t see Alison as being in that category. Plus she does daytime TV which is supposed to be more family friendly (although if it is something like that, I bet she’s not the only presenter on This Morning to partake 🧐).
I suppose something like swinging/dogging is a possibility too. You never know. 😂

That was my immediate thought. Poor Alison :-(

Drug use is literally everywhere, and yet condemned by Fleet Street as if they themselves are holier than thou... newsrooms are full of the biggest coke heads in the country.

Unfortunately for Alison, she is a Black, working class woman. I suspect she would not be fortunate enough to receive the same rehabilitation as Ant as far as the gutter press go, though I remain hopeful.

I adore Nigella just as I do Alison, but she's posh and white and so of course got away with it.

Imho, anyone saying that they would say be damned and do your worst are the naive ones. For her it would quite probably be a career killer, would it matter if it was a total fabrication? No, look how she is already being judged here.

What a vile creature he must be. Being nobodies we tend to forget even the slightest bit of fame sets the rags snouts sniffing in the air for a story, tabloids have little interest in the truth, only what sells.

Bless her, what a horrible thing to happen to a lovely lady. Here's hoping they find him.
 
I wonder it she was trying to protect another family member, like her son, from false accusations. Whatever it was I think the idea that you could just say "go ahead and publish, it's all lies" is naive, people default to "no smoke without fire" mentality even if there is no evidence of something. People still refer to Richard Gere and his hamster decades later.

Story about illegal drug use I'd imagine. What a sleazy place This Morning must be.
 
What she's experiencing is coercive control. It's probably been happening very gradually over the time she's been with him. I really feel for her. People are already saying there's no smoke without fire. As someone who has very recent of experience of someone threatening to tell lies about them, it doesn't matter if it's not true. It's not that simple. It's embarrassing, unprofessional, you worry about the what ifs etc. It's a horrible thing to experience even if you have the evidence to prove it isn't true.
