Aldi & Lidl #7

Ooh...I assume these can be used on the hob and in the oven? I may be tempted to get one...
Yes! On the hob, and in the oven up to 240 degrees 😊

Aldi is the place I shop most with a bit of Lidl and M&S. Last time I popped into a Tesco for a few things I audibly gasped at some of the prices. It was around £4 for a box of rainbow salad that at the time was £1.39 in Aldi. There were other things that were hugely overpriced but that was the one that made me decide not to go back into a Tesco.
I do most shopping at Aldi as it’s the closest supermarket and it does the best lilt and fanta lemon knockoffs. I shop at lidl a bit for the bakery. I only really get branded stuff at tesco as their stuff isn’t great.

I don't know when Asia Week was (or is) but my local Lidl had rice cookers in so managed to pick up one with the £5 off voucher in app - so cost £13.99 instead of £17.99 🥳
I got a microwave rice cooker from with Aldi or Lidl. Can’t remember the price as it was years ago. I use it more for par boiling potatoes than rice 😂😂. If anyone is on the fence about buying one microwave or electric one I highly recommend, I’ve never badly cooked rice since getting it. I also use the rice setting on my pressure cooker which I assume does a similar thing to a rice cooker.

I haven't used my rice cooked, bought about 8 yrs ago from Lidl in ages. I probably only used it for a year before relegating it to the gadget cupboard...... am I missing something, should I give it another go?

Depends if you can cook rice on the hob or not. I never could unless it was boil in the bag which is quite expensive. So for me a rice cooker is an amazing gadget.

I'm feeling a bit miffed with Aldi. 😒
I bought their deep filled mince pies and when opened thought that feels a bit small!
Then I put the foil tray in a stack I have on the counter and realised yes it was small as the foil tray underneath was from a Morrisons deep filled mince pie which was much bigger!
I always like Aldis mince pies but they're certainly not deep filled and the Morrisons one was tastier this year.

I bought this yesterday expecting it to be absolutely delicious but it wasn't all that.... obviously I'll still scoff it just it'll take me longer than I'd anticipated
The ham crisp were delicious, all eaten & bare shelves so not replenished.
