i think we’re so used to our faves being other versions of their roles that it surprised me that he’s so different from carlos (i know that sounds weird but i can’t think how else to explain it )

I'm 100% with you haha

I still think Oliver Stark is very similar to buck though

he is so i would pick buck any day but i do love a bit of eddie (i’m a sucker for big brown eyes). i wouldn’t be opposed to him taking up street fighting again

i feel that way about athena tbh! i like her (and obviously angela basset is ) but it’s like no one can ever question her, even when she makes bad decisions. i don’t mind hen for the most part, but i think that’s because she’s usually paired with chimney (who i love!)

Yeah I can see that, although Angela Basset means I don't notice it lol

This ship story is ridiculous but have to say it's movie level budget and effects. Comparable to the last poseidon movie.

Oliver needs to go live while in the gym...or lockeroom

OK I've watched Buck Bothered and Bewildered and sorry, nope.

Buck being jealous of his best mate (more like brother) being friends with someone else, and Christopher too, is completely natural. Especially where he doesnt have a large network of friends and felt ignored. Men can be close without a sexual or romantic component. It's kind of insulting and dated to say 'guys have a close bond, they must be gay'

Then the kiss, he's just met this guy, barely spent anytime with him. All the jealousy was towards Eddie and Christopher ignoring buck. Then there's the kiss and he reacts like it's no big deal

here are my feelings mark (apologies for the essay!)

tommy was trying to court eddie (friendship or otherwise) with the front row tickets, the helicopter ride, etc. no real interest in buck whatsoever. he called it when he said “MY attention?!” because he was like dude you were jealous about eddie, not trying to get with me. worth pointing out that the actor who plays tommy has said that the original storyline was him and eddie, not him and buck, but ryan guzman was like nah that makes no sense, so the buck and tommy thing is just so rushed.

i honestly do think that buck’s feelings about eddie are complicated and so he displaced jealousy about eddie to being like wow i must be interested in tommy rather than facing up to that. but he and tommy are so badly matched and i wish they’d given him a better partner for his bi awakening.

It feels rushed, poorly written and developed. This should have been a gradual thing over the whole series. But zero conflict? Seems unrealistic.

And it's even more cemented for me that buck and eddie aren't right as a couple.

This season in general is pretty poor though tbh.

Yeah I agree, the episode with Eddie (and also him telling maddie) was sweetly done.

I ike bi-Buck, it's another show I watch with my son (just posted on Dr Who chat) - he is bi and thought he'd be more interested in it but he has lost interest in the show finding that it is too soapy - they don't do fires anymore, or if they do it's off screen. He likes the peril!

i know exactly what you’re referring to and YES. i don’t know what they were thinking.

i’m with your son: it works best when we see them on jobs (jinx is my favourite episode for this reason) or at least working together as a team. i don’t feel like we really saw them at work at all this series and the finale is one of the weakest they’ve done.

having buck realise he was bi and almost immediately put him into a relationship within two episodes was just bad writing too.

Oh my god yes the Eddie stuff was so random I really didn’t like that storyline!

I wasn’t a fan of the cruise ship storyline or Bobbys storyline this season. It all felt a bit rushed as less episodes.
