I suspect Disney asked him to record as much of his voice as possible so he can continue to voice Vader should it be needed, or perhaps they reached agreement for AI use in future with whatever he has recorded. His voice will live on.

He actually signed over rights to his voice so they could recreate it with AI, etc.
So in a way that's nice that his performance as Vader will love on.
