I was trying to work out why this years vlogs seem real different and I think it’s mainly because they’re so FORCED and FAKE.

I doubt any of these Vlogust videos have been authentic and genuine days, it’s all planned and mapped out to fill every day of August? I’d understand the odd day for some extra excitement but, where’s the authenticity? It’s just the same tit everyday with the same family members on rotation!

Agreed.

For me, I don’t want to see them on big days out all the time - it’s places we have already heard of anyway so hardly anything exciting.

For Vlogmas I’d prefer to see her choosing wrapping paper, cards and presents. Whereas last year she talked about this stuff but didn’t show it. I just want it to feel cosy and this stuff relates to most of us.
 
That’s why her vlogs aren’t as enjoyable anymore. She might not have always been up to much back in the day, but she still somehow made the mundane days seem entertaining without having to orchestrate an entire day. She’d actually go out and about and just live life but take us along with her.
Pair her life now being horrendous boring with the fact she’s lost her girl next door feel, the only interesting thing she has left is the girls which she’s clearly shown she’s not shy of exploiting.
 
How confusing she had her birthday on Monday, opening presents on Wednesday but it's not her birthday until Thursday!

Did anyone notice in today's vlog, they talk about Ottie asking to go back to the Isle of Wight with "the family" and Alfie goes "because when we went before, we went with Tracey and Joe"... that's her family too? Then Zoe says they asked "the family" and everyone was in, so will be interesting to see if that only means Alfie's side. Poor Tracey is there nearly every day helping them!!

it would be interesting to see if they do the same with novie.

cause if they only keep this up with ottie and not with novie they are gonna raise a one resentful child.
but at least she wont be one of those spoilt girls at school

I just think this is so self indulgent. It is starting feel less about Ottie, and more about the parents.
Also, the other reason for this 3 day bonanza is for content. Of course we know that.

I’ve noticed during this vlogust that often they tell Ottie how cute she is. And it is done in a very fawning way. She is cute, but it’s constant.
I did wonder a coupe of days ago, would either of these two ever tell her off? They seem so enamoured by her that I sense it would be a real affront to them to discipline her.
I don’t know what kind of adult you get when you’re making your child so self aware and inflating her sense of self from such an early age. Life will be very challenging outside of the coddled indulgences of her parents.

If they are going out early on her birthday to Isle of White then they should have let her open her presents at her party.

she really tries to raise a minnie-me. also with the bath obsession.
she really let her take a snack with her into the bathtub - just like mom does.
but also
morning bath?
in this economy? and lack of time? lol

dont know any parent that would have the time to chill with their child in the bathtub on a random wednesday morning

edit: what is on about "behind the scenes of making vlogust happen" the behind the scenes is literally them having to film their day to day life?????
do they think they got a full on production going on? surely I will put on anything on bg while I clean or cook 😂

I romanticise my childhood, because I had a good childhood. I was very lucky. I feel Zoe probably had a similar upbringing to me so I understand. It’s nice to have that, but what I don’t get is Zoe’s adulthood couldn’t have gone much better. She has fallen on her feet in more ways than one [insert joke about Alfie here], so why is she so reminiscent?
 
I feel like even if your a male or just an uncle/auntie you would remember if your second niece had had a birthday though so not really buying that as an excuse. Especially if you only have one sister and 2 (blood) nieces 🙃 I get not knowing how many months she is or what she should doing developmentally but I meant it was weird he didn’t know she hadn’t had a birthday or turned 1 yet 🤷‍♀️

Hes defo awkward though 😂

I wonder if she isn’t confident enough to film much when out and about anymore esp isotope when shopping. So chooses to mostly record at home.
 
Are any family members allowed to voice common sense or does it just gets ignored? because surely anyone can see giving your three year old a birthday party one day, opening her present another day and then her actual birthday a day after will be confusing for the wee girl :rolleyes:.
