They have so much help , when they show ottie her mud kitchen she's been minded. Novie as well. It's like they don't do anything without one of them being minded so weird. They don't see to know how easy they have it
It's such an odd set up they have, her mum coming over to watch the kids for reasons where anyone else would look after the kids themselves. Like today she came over while they go and pick up the dog. Like I said one of them could have watched the kids while the other fetch the Nala.

Yes like honestly don't know anyone who has it that handy with two small children. Yet they are still always tired. They are exhausted from vlogust but isn't it just there lives? So strange.

I find it strange how close Zoe and Joe make themselves out to be and how great an uncle he would be before they were born but hes never around from what we are shown and when he is I feel like hes awkward around the kids. I mean Iv never actually really seen him interact with Novie tbf on camera anyway.

But what stood out to me from their mums bday vlog was when they were blowing out the candles on her cake and Zoe and Joe were just talking in the background and he said something about Novie being 1 and zoe was like no, shes not 1 yet she will be 1 in december. Surely as an only real uncle blood related, you would know when your niece was born. Seems like everyone ignores poor Novie and just focus on Ottie. It was very weird.

Joe is carrying her a couple of times in the background of Zoe's Easter vlog. Not remembering her birthday is a little strange, but, and I am sorry to stereotype, he would not be the first man to forget a family member's age or birthday. (I really hope I don't come across as sexist - obviously it's not every man, and equally women can forget too. But I speak from experience: my dad is that uncle. All my cousins on my dad's side are much older and were born before my parents met. We have no idea how old they are/when their birthdays are because my dad cannot remember and he never wrote them down.) Also, with Joe not having his own kids, he wouldn't necessarily know where children should be developmentally at each age. I certainly wouldn't.

I think he's just awkward, both in himself and around kids, and makes up for it by trying to be funny, which, in turn, makes everything even more awkward. Some of his earlier interactions with both his nieces and Dianne's niece are incredibly cringeworthy to watch. He appears to be slightly more comfortable now...

I mentioned it on the old thread, but Vlogust has really highlighted how much/little Zoe sees of certain people. Considering her and Joe are supposedly so close, both personally and geographically, they appear to spend very little time together, especially as the vlogs with them both in the thumbnail do considerably better.

Well in this vlogust they have seen their parents the most and that's because they are round all the time to help out! So in a month...

Mark has been twice and one of those was for Ottie's party
Joe maybe four times and again some of those visits were for the painting night, to film his video and Ottie's birthday.
The anna edit twice one in Brighton and at Ottie's birthday.

Tbf I feel like if it's not your kid, and you're not into kids or know much about them, you're like 9 months, a year, what's the difference

That vlog (first one Ive watched since O was born) made me realise my second baby was in fact a Velcro baby. Didn’t see N the whole video. I could never. Shower? Alone? What’s that?🤣

She’s right though. Must be nice when you have a whole village of villagers rallying around for your kids. I’ve nothing against Z and A but it just made me realise their privilege and completely out of touch with me personally. Which is why I don’t usually watch. Very cute family though. Good for them.
My baby is the same age and I barely do anything around the house these days. I haven’t watched any of the recent videos because it just annoys me how they are both at home all the time plus all the childcare, they don’t even know what’s like to have kids with both parents and grandparents working.. yet seem to be lucky to have very easy kids 😅

It will never not shock me that they film their children, let alone the extent to which they do. I was convinced they would never even show their children, let alone vlog them, because of a) the privacy issues they've had over the years, particularly in the old house, and b) how icky family vlogging channels have become.

They definitely vlog more of the girls than they used to/implied they were going to. I know they don't show anything, but vlogging bath time is insane! Also, and nobody brought it up on the thread at the time, it appears they vlogged whilst they were in the downstairs loo. Admittedly, it's not clear what is happening, but the ambiguity/implication in itself is insane! And it's a lengthy clip too.

Why do they say Vlogust is difficult? The whole point is that they video whatever they are doing. They don’t need to plan specific outings etc, it’s weird that they make it harder than it needs to be.

It was the same with Vlogmas last year. Zoe would tell us what she was going to do but then it wouldn’t actually be filmed? What’s the point.

they have to plan specific outings because no one wants to see them rotting in front of the TV for a full month while the grandparents do all the childcare.

This is the thing though even with them 'doing specific things' for vlogust the vlogs are still boring AF! 🤣

Showing their kids really cheapens them and their channel. I used to view Zoe as quite a considerate person and she was someone who I was influenced by as a teen. I really looked up to her and trusted that she’d make good decisions about these things. If I watch someone now and they don’t show their kids and do everything they can to protect their privacy, I immediately have respect for them

What else would they vlog? They don't have jobs or hobbies, don't go anywhere new, they don't interact with new people. I can't even imagine seeing my extended family almost every day. All together every weekend at a picnic or barbecue...draining. Like what's new to talk about? They all live at home, nothing new happens. Unbelievable.
