I wonder what his parents think of her festering in bed everyday while Ottie is only cared for by Alfie. I wonder if they've said anything to him like' this cant carry on its not good for Ottie' etc. If I was Alfie I'd get out of that relationship and take Ottie with me, she can see her mum at weekends which is probably more than what she sees of her now!

I genuinely don't know any adults who take themselves to bed when they're ill for longer than a day, maybe two at a push. That post she did about mustering up the energy to wash her hair was the nail in the coffin for me and I've unfollowed. She needs to get in the real world.
Literally. I remember pre-vaccine when the new covid variant came over to the UK around 2020 Christmas time it almost killed me off, but I WFH so I felt guilty taking longer than a day off because I’m at home regardless. Her work ethic is a joke, but her will to get out of bed and even live is worryingly in the pits. It’s really not normal to lie in bed all day even if you’re not feeling 100%. She takes “get some rest” to an absolute extreme.

Even more so when you have a child.

I had an abscess on my wisdom tooth a few weeks ago, I was in complete agony and cried in pain a few times. But I still got ready for the day and took care of my son whilst my OH was at work, and took myself to the dentist when he got home. I have anxiety issues like Zoe but it’s not an excuse for me to neglect my relationship with my child and not get seen to when somethings wrong with me.

I’m also convinced she’s pregnant tbh because there’s no way someone who isn’t pregnant or chronically ill sits fermenting in their own bed like this for weeks

It’s not quite as simple as just taking a child though even if it yours. 😐 Alfie would probably be done for child abduction.
My brother has separated from his wife and he is the better parent (not being biased), but the courts will always work in favour of the mother. A lot of evidence is probably required to prove that the father should have sole custody of the children.

I don't know how it works in the UK but in Ireland Alfie wouldn't actually be allowed have full custody since they're not married (unless obviously they agreed to it which I don't think Zoe would). There was a case here a few years ago where a mother died and even though she and the dad were still together custody of the child went to her parents after her death since they weren't married. Even though the parents were fully in support of him having the child they had to go through the courts for him to have legal custody if I'm remembering right, just so it was all done properly. Them not being married could mean complications around custody if they were to break up unless he could prove she's an unfit mother. This could have all changed but I just remember that story from a few years ago.

Actually, this was all used as an argument in the same sex marriage referendum in Ireland. People pointed out that allowing same sex marriage gave more protection to children adopted by gay couples as it meant that both parents had legal responsibility for the child rather than just one in case something happened.

That was a whole tangent I know but the whole thing can be so complicated.

@ uterus owned people in here. I might trigger moms dot net here but
is being sick in the first 3 months of a pregnancy really that brutal that she needs bed rest for weeks on end like she is in the 18th century dying cause of the commoncold?

Friends of mine have terminated pregnancies because gastroparesis began to threaten their health. It can be really brutal. Who knows what's up with Zoe though!

If she has bad HG (hyperemesis gravidarum) it's possible. I've heard of people being signed off sick at work because it's really impossible to work/live normally with it and the medication doesn't work for everyone. I think I remember Zoe saying she's got a phobia around vomiting? Knowing Zoe, even the THOUGHT of getting sick has taken her to her bed.

The problem here is that we're talking about zoe.
There are women who go through hell during pregnancy and I completely understand that THEY can't get out of bed due to feeling sick.

But I'd bet both my kidneys on how zoe just uses any excuse she can have to be in bed.

yes, i'm assuming. no, i dont care.

It’s the most dangerous life threatening thing a uterus owner can go through, so in some cases it definitely can be debilitating. If it was anyone else, I would have sympathy and feel for them but Zoe has cried wolf too many times with staying in bed for a week with “flu” (a cold) on far too many occasions for me to not feel like she’s definitely lapping it up.

I didn't mean quite literally take Ottie but you know what I mean. 🤣

Well when she was pregnant with Ottie didn't she have Alfie running after her like a blue arsed fly? he was in his office (the other house) and she would ring him saying she needed a drink right now!

I had HG in all my pregnancies, even ended up in hospital so it angers me that she gets to just lie in bed and Alfie does everything just because she feels a bit sick.
I had no choice but to take care of my kids each time and go to work! My husband works long hours so he was gone all day too! She doesn't know how lucky she is and it pisses me off that she makes no effort just because she's disgustingly rich for doing duck all.
She's the exact reason why women aren't taken seriously when they have serious sickness in pregnancy.

Totally agree with all the comments on here regarding her possibly not wanting to show herself/hiding away due to morning sickness or pregnancy in general but seriously who does she think she is ?

Kate Middleton when pregnant with the future king was hospitalised before her 12 week scan with severe morning sickness and my god did that woman look ill hanging on to Williams arm, very weak but she faced the press and paps because that's part of being in the public eye
yes she's the future Queen but she wasn't above sharing the issue openly or facing the world when not at her best and then theres Zoe behaving like this !

I get what you are saying and I know in this case it is Zoe we are talking about but in 2016 I was hit with the flu and a chest infection that turned into pneumonia. I was only 29, a healthy single mum of 2 and worked full time. I was in bed for 3 weeks and had to heavily rely on family members who didn't live near me or neighbours I didn't know very well just to make sure the kids got to school etc and had proper meals. It was awful. There were a few days I was so ill and delirious I didn't even know my own name. So not to derail and make the thread about me, when people do that classic tale of "Well I got flu and still worked and got on with my day" - they did not have full blown flu. I have worked with chest infections, colds etc before but full blown flu is a game changer. My ex work colleague was only 23 when she got flu once, had a 2 month hospital stay and sadly to this day, four years later hasn't even been able to return to a job because her health was impacted so much.

Anyway, only quoted your post because of the day or two in bed thing, not to disagree with you or put any bad vibes. Sorry for derailing and again, I know this is Zoe and we know her past form so very possible this is being made out to be more than it is.
