That cease and decease threat wouldn’t have managed to get any further than being just that- a threat. Unless the other lady had copied her trademarked name or logo. It’s usually around a grand, sometimes less but interestingly she hasn’t mentioned donating for a long time. What fucked me off is the dog she had from a pup, surely if you were that invested in dog charities, you’d find a dog that needed rehoming? I know it’s sometimes difficult given the age of her kids to find a suitable dog, but there would of definitely been options or a waiting list.
She will come for you! She sent one poster on here a cease and desist by the sounds of things a while back. I bet that person was literally selling enough to put a bit of extra food on the table. She must really get the hump over people under cutting her, and guess what of course they can do that quite comfortably since all the ingredients don’t break the bank!!
I know a fair amount about intellectual property laws from the fashion industry. I can only imagine how impossible it would be to have a patent for a skin care cream. All someone would need to do would be tweak your ingredients by a small percent, or add an additional different oil to the Shea, and boom in the eyes of the law they have a new product. Plus most of her cream formulations are readily available on tutorials on various websites and blogs that teach people how to make basic creams.
