Except Bex worked in a client-facing and quite high-level doughnut shop role age 17 and was, obviously, sexually harassed due to her magnetic personality.

Or something.

A life half lived x2, one of the two having no choice in it.

I really do hate pity her.

The absolute worst part is that her bestie used to claim carer’s allowance to look after Bex because Bex claimed she was unsafe alone. She literally said she was too unsafe to be alone in a kitchen but somehow is also Gordon Ramsay and capable of authoring a cookbook. Also sometimes Bex would feel sad or anxious and bestie would come over, these are the reasons Bex gave for bestie being entitled to carer’s allowance.

Bex’s previous paid-for-by-taxpayers house came with a log cabin in the garden where bestie would stay incase Bex sometimes felt sad. bleeping ridiculous when we have families in temp accommodation and homeless people dying on the streets.

ETA A quick ebay check revealed very many (some 'antique') solid wood big bookcases for less than 50 quid.

My furniture trajectory has gone as follows: cheapest Argos (skint), replaced Argos (as damp house and Argos not a good match) with v good quality solid stuff for very cheap from Ebay (still skint), new Ikea stuff (not skint).
