I think that’s probably a lot to do with how dull they all are.

also though I never follow until they leave. Out of interest who’s leading? I assume Olivia.

Like others have said, she could’ve picked her and Aaron or Ellie and Ron for the least compatible couple, but she didn’t. She chose Tom and Zara purely because Olivia is her ‘best friend’ and is going for the herd mentality. She also said it with a smirk and Olivia smirked back. Both Lana and Olivia give me such mean girl vibes, I really dislike the both of them at the minute.

yeah it was REALLY weird to me that she didn't pick ellie and ron considering she wants to be with ron herself and feels like she has a much better connection with ron. it's just really weird for people to see that choice and not see how zara was getting picked on and just excusing it as "well she brought it upon herself." lana actively chose to pursue kicking zara's couple down instead of backing her own argument for the past 2 days that she's been crying over

Zara Holland (former Miss GB) I thought was a really good islander, honest as the day is long and always said what was on her mind, irrespective of whether that was the best thing to do 🤫. Loved the way she stepped in between Kady and the girl that was physically going for Kady, afterwards she (Zara) said she had no idea where that bravado came from as she was shitting herself at the time.
A great example of it’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog. 🤫

It's far better than the main show! It shows them having other convos, goofing around, having the craic, it also shows people who you never see talking to each other on the main show having a chat. To me it's more of an actual insight into them all and the editors pick the absolute snooze inducing "what's your type" "Where's you head at" for 6 hours a week for the main show.

I’m tuning in tonight. It gives a different perspective sometimes and is focused on fun rather than (edited) drama.
Iain is annoying me too. I used to crack up at him in earlier series but now I find him off-putting
 
I've just seen a video pointing out continuity errors in the truth or dare game that prove that Zara's reactions to stuff have been shown out of sequence. It's so unfair of the producers to do stuff like that to steer the narrative against one person! This kinda shit is why I enjoy the discussions here more than I enjoy the actual show 😂
 
That game was horrible to watch - I had to rewatch again cos hubby had missed it (pretends he hates it) and it’s worse on second viewing. Jesus the hostility.

the screams of laughter and encouragement when they’re slating Zara yet the silence and awkwardness when she goes up. It’s bullying and horrible to watch. It was obvious she felt mortified.

I don’t see how anyone with her fuse can last and I think she’s better off out if they’re just going to use exploit her insecurities to make the others look good.

I really think itv have it wrong with Lana and Liv as top girls and i won’t be watching another 6 weeks of them being elevated. They have zero personality bar being pick me girls.

The lads are annoying as well this year as with the exception of Jessie who’s gone for Will they seem to be clichey, married off and openly hostile to bombshells.

For a lot of people, they don't see how calling Zara aggressive but referring to women like Faye, Ekin, Maura, Olivia etc as fiery or fiesty is not a microagression. It's often very normal for the first word to come to their mind when a WOC is raises her voice just a tad bit to be aggressive. Remember Teddy referring to Kaz as being agro after her argument with Teddy? While never ever once using that same word with Faye even though she was screaming at everyone?

You don't have like Zara. She has definitely had some questionable moments. But there comes a fine line between that and then just going at her because everyone else is doing the same thing.

Do I think she's possessive of Tom? 100% but is Tom also sending hella mixed signals? Of cause he is. Everyone else is so quick to dismiss her feelings in there because once again, WOC should be seen as strong women. When she cries, she gets dragged and no one seems to comfort her. When Olivia or any other white woman cries, everyone rushes to their aid.

It's very uncomfortable to watch but unfortunately alot of people won't see anything wrong with what happens during that episode because it was happening to Zara and not anyone else.

None of that is because of race. It's all because she is acting like an absolute cunt. She could be yellow or pink and I wouldn't change my mind. She is acting like a possessive psychopath, other people are afraid to talk to her or Tom, which shouldn't be like that, it's not normal! Mixing race into this is pure stupid because it's not a question of race at all. Others don't comfort her, because she's acting like a psychopath, and newsflash - nobody likes psychopaths, no matter the skin colour.
 
I rewatched earlier and production did focus on Zara, but if that is how it was in the villa is questionable as we know how things can be and are edited. To be honest I spend more time on Tattle than watching the show so hope something changes, a slow thread means nothing to discuss lol.

Thank you! 😅 I’m so happy to see that someone else has used the word ‘cunt’ on this thread and not only me. 🤣 Evidently we have used this word for The same reason and I also agree with everything that you have said too! 💯🙌🏻

Yep. I could sense the tension from my sofa at home whenever she got up for her turn to join in the game. So I can only imagine how shit it must’ve felt to actually be there and the one it was happening to. Horrid to watch. And even Aaron getting in on the act as well- fella has only turned up for his pay check and rather than getting his grafting boots on and making an effort he decides to join in with the ‘let’s all bring Zara down a notch or two’ bandwagon. Pathetic.
