I am fully vaccinated. Neighbor friend isn't. She's got Covid, as do a number of her family. I've been careful, but not as careful as I should have been. Now I have a fever, loss of taste, headache etc. Getting my 2nd Covid test in a month tomorrow. I'm annoyed. With her, but mostly myself.

You can get and spread covid with or without the vaccine so not sure why be annoyed with her.

I think I have broken my little toe, there’s a bookcase on the landing (gone now, bloody thing) but I caught my toe on it and only noticed later it was sticking out at a right angle! Moved it back, sounded a bit grindy but seemed okay. Even 4 weeks later it’s still achy though, hope I set it right (strapped it with tape etc). I hope your poor toe and finger are okay.We're getting work done in our house and it's been upside down so left our new laminate in the hallway. Yesterday I walked into it and smacked my pinky toe, it's cut in 3 places, bruised at the top and still can't put my full weight onto it
Literally just over a week ago I caught my pinky in the car boot when I closed it. The 2 things that make me so squeamish is finger and toe injuries

Union jacks all over food in the supermarket. I'm not talking about a flag to indicate where the food is from. I'm talking about a big Union Jack motif plastered all over tubes of pringles, tub of flora.. I think I even saw a patriotic puff pasty 
Bear in mind, I'm in Ireland so it's kind of weird and jarring to see normal, everyday things plastered with another country's flag (I won't mention the politics and history lmao). Do people in the UK think this is normal? It seems somewhat disrespectful to your own flag tbh. Maybe it's just a cultural thing, but I think a flag should be treated with respect as many people died fighting under it. Again it's fine to have a little flag to indicate place of origin (one of the purposes of a flag) but when used as a patriotic, marketing campaign for margarine? Kind of tacky tbh.

House across the road has a really bright security light. which shines right into my front rooms as well as neighbours. Lights up our whole bit in the street. Brighter than the actual street lights!

Woke up early in a good mood, made coffee and commented on how I love the smell of coffee in the morning. Then, as I was grabbing my cup, it slipped and coffee spilled all over my kitchen counter and washing machine. I ended up spending a good 10 minutes cleaning. Smh. Here I thought I'd reinstate better habits lol.

The more I read tattle the more I think how lucky I am to live on my own. Unlike when I have had husbands (two) and lived with people, I am never lonely, yet always felt lonely living with people.
Hope you become a more deserving wife and get your car, although I would be telling him to shove it where the sun doesn't shine and buying myself an old runaround that no one can take off me.

That my in-laws constantly ask why we don't ask them to help with childcare and then when we do ask for more than a couple of hours, they want my parents to also help out (who are almost a decade older than PIL and don't have as good health).
ETA For context, the longest they've looked after my eldest has been 3 hours. And for 2 hours of that he was in his bed.

We haven't been getting on recently. The car was ordered quite a few months ago but delayed due to this chip shortage. He decided he doesn't know which direction this relationship is going in due to my behaviour
so he cancelled it. I'm used to not having anything nice so it doesn't surprise me he's done this. The car I have is on its last legs unfortunately so I won't be able to visit my Mum as she's 100 miles away. 
I've told him I want one but obviously that means I'm the most ungrateful person ever and I'm taking his children away from him.

Again Bloody hell!! Where do you live? if it's anywhere near Hertfordshire you can use my car to go see your mum and when you go see her stay there and never come home again until he is gone or you have somewhere else to live.

I have regretted many things in my life but never once regretted leaving my ex-husbands. Living in a toxic environment is not good for children or you.
I'm only just hearing more about how my kids felt and how things affected them mentally before we left and they are in their 40s now. You think kids won't remember, or they get over things easy.. yes in one way they do but not in all ways.
Wishing you al the luck and courage in the world to do what you want to do. its not selfish to want a better life but the world right now seems to be full of people telling others how selfish they are. it's to guilt-trip you. put your fingers in your ears and sing louadly

I can't afford to file for divorce so I've asked him to. He won't because he will be seen as the bad guy. Life is hell with him and he will make it hell without him. Anyway, I'll be fine but thanks again.

Does he have control over your money? It sounds like he could be financially abusing you and definitely emotionally abusing you. You deserve so much better! I've just seen your other posts about asking for a divorce and he's not for it, that must be so heartbreaking. Also the fact there's kids involved too he clearly doesn't care about this, as he would rather the kids stay in a toxic environment. Do you have any other family/friends nearby? Is there any chance at all you could possibly ask your mum for a loan of money so you could get a train to see her or something?
