What were your favourite movies as a child?

You’re all so young! (to remember these films from your childhood).

I remember Whistle Down The Wind, The Railway Children, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Journey To The Centre of the Earth, Quatermass and the Pit, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, Cinderella, Jason and the Argonauts. As a teenager, Jaws, Grease, Saturday Night Fever (first X-rated film).
 
Omg, I remember that there is a Disney movie called Song of the South. It has caused controversy as it is set on a plantation with a black man and is apparently racist - as a child I did not pick up on that. But it was never released on VHS in the USA. In the UK it was and I remember it being one of my favourite films as a kid. The Zipadeedodah song was my favourite. The ride Splash Mountain at Disney is based on it.

Have any of you watched the Disney channel movie Dont Look Under The Bed? It’s actually creepy as hell used to scare the crap out of me when I was like 11/12 😂 watched it on Disney plus a few weeks back
 
Not seen it mentioned but who else remembers Now and Then? It was like a female equivalent of Stand by Me out in 1996. Lovely film but I don’t think it was popular as anticipated. Loved Clueless, The Craft, My Girl (not the 2nd one), Home Alone 1 and 2, Beauty and the Beast, original Willy Wonka.
Unpopular opinion but I HATED that 1997 Romeo and Juliet despite all my mates loving it and every single article in Just 17/Sugar/Bliss singing its praises. Never fancied Leonardo neither!
