I donated blood this week so volunteered at parkrun this weekend as I feel rough running for a few weeks afterwards - as I was stood there marshaling I was thinking how he's probably used a pint of blood on all those stupid tests, but it'd never cross their mind to help anyone else.

I noticed in her stories she mentioned visiting family. Obviously that meant dumping the kids at the grandparents while they ran. Why couldn’t they just go and visit family without doing parkrun? Why do they have to make everything revolve around their running?

Obviously that’s a rhetorical question and we all know the answer but it’s just so sad. You only get so many Christmases with your kids when they are still full of wonder before they grow up and want to spend them with their friends and then their own families. These two are wasting those early, precious Christmases on themselves, running and zwifting.

She said it was Pisa/Valencia. Excited (or not) to see what that means. Tbh we are in the middle of Wolf Hall and given that I know FA about history*, I need a bit of light relief.

Genuine question but has her hair always been in that awful a condition?! I’ve watched a few minutes (will have to come back to it tomorrow i think) but wow I’m sure it wasn’t always so damaged and bedraggled?!

I’ve watched a bit. She says “we” all the time, like she did in the last vlog. She must be picking this up from the elites who have a team around them but it’s annoying AF. She’s also been using the Coros without actually knowing how to use it.

I’ve got up to Pisa, no mention of the family commitments. She really is a nasty piece of work. It’s all about the Kelly show. Oh, and she waffles for about 5 minutes about HR not matching pace and that’s what threw her in Valencia. Anyone more experienced than me care to shed light on what she actually means because I have no idea (I translated it to mean, I fucked up).

I think she means that her HR was higher than usual for a given pace. This is normal if you have been flying (a few people who have flown in for job interviews at my husband's work have failed the medical because their HR and BP are too high after flying), and a good reason not to fly abroad for a marathon if you are aiming for a PB. Probably why she got a sub-4 at Abingdon after years of trying.
