I keep referencing it but ages ago Eilish mccolgan did a post about how you need to stop worrying about lactate/cadence/whatever, and focus on pace, heart rate and RPE. She made the very valid point that most runners, even professionals could make huge improvements with their diet, sleep, strength training, doing less grey/junk miles and if you don’t bother doing that there is no point looking at the things that get super elite runners a couple of seconds over a 10k

So 5 weeks til her tri and then she’s switching into marathon training. Such a busy week for her! Imagine if she had to shoehorn 40+ hours of work and a bit of cleaning in there too…

There’s one comment asking her about the tri (which she will ignore) and the rest are all perves or bots. Comments telling her she is beautiful - her ego must love it. Engagement is so low compared to those 61k followers she has. Anyone would think she had purchased them 🤔🤣

Looks like Tits is still coaching Kells, with his story about building her mileage and sessions back up after her Parkrun 5k TT yesterday.
I follow someone who is being “coached” by Kells - really hard not to comment on her posts. Biting my tongue so hard it might come off.
My thoughts were, if she’s made that much progress since injury with lower mileage and cross training, why continue to build mileage? Just do quality sessions and allow her body to recover between. Not everyone can tolerate running 6 or 7 days a week without getting injured… like Kels has just been.

Plus the weight training has now disappeared since she’s back running. Did anyone consider that strength training helped her get a faster time?

My thoughts exactly, she obviously performs better when she runs less!
